Hey Guy,

Lately when I crank up the car after it has been sitting either all night or after working an 8 hour shift. I hear a whinning noise coming from the front of the car (I believe)... It goes away once I let the car warm up.... What could this be? Thanks Guys.

Might be the tensioner or idler pulley or both. Easy and cheap to replace. I'd also replace the belt. I'd recommend the Gatorback belt.

Belt Tensioner:

Dayco – 305291
Goodyear – 49293

Idler Pulleys:

Dayco (smooth) - 89007
FoMoCo (ribbed) - YW7Z-8678-AA

Belts:
Serpentine (NAPA) – PBH4060923 - stock
Gatorback (Goodyear) – 4060922 - stock

^^^That was my problem a couple of weeks ago. Replaced them all, problem solved.

Correction - Mine was whining all the time, not just at start-up. The whine pitch got higher when accellerating
