CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM 14N01

I just received in the mail today a letter from Ford about a recall on the Electronic Module
(Lighting Control Module) that supplies power to the headlights may fail. This results in the headlamps not working properly except for the flash-to-pass operation.
In the interest of customer satisfaction, Ford Motor Company is extending the limited warranty on the Lighting Control Module to 15 years or 250,000 miles from the warranty start date of the vehicle start date of the vehicle, whichever occurs first.
This coverage exceeds the original warranty coverage provisions of your vehicle for this part.

What will Ford and your dealer do?
If the headlamps on your vehicle do not work properly and the module is the cause,Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to replace the module free of charge (parts and labor).
If your vehicle has already exceeded the mileage limit, this coverage will last through October
31, 2014. This is a one-time repair only.
This applies to the 2003 Grand Marquis with my VIN NUMBER.

I experienced my tail lamps, fog lamps failing . This hopefully will be included in this recall.
It may be a different lighting module.

I am bringing my race Marauder to the dealer Tuesday.

I hope I will not be held responsible for their shattered plate glass windows. :D

Paid for mine out of pocket 3 years ago. Will be receiving a refund...:)

I called the number and the lady told me to take my Ford receipt for the LCM to my Ford dealer and they would do the paperwork, and supposedly Ford will send me a refund check for only the part, since I installed it myself. We'll see what happens, $293.70 will come in handy.....:D

Should I be receiving the letter too? I bought the car used from a Ford dealer that's now closed back in 2006. I've already had to repair mine twice, but it is currently working. Do i have to wait for it to break again, or will they just replace it for me without the letter if I ask them to?

I just called the Ford Customer service # 1-866-436-7332. Tell them your calling about the Customer Service Program 14N01. They'll ask a few questions, Vin #, name, address.

Kinda Funny a couple days later I got the form letter.
