Had a 2000 CV that ment well, but could'nt get out of it's own way and spent way too much time in the shop. I was not happy. At the advice of my husband, I traded it in and ordered up an '04 Silver Birch. It came with 74 mi. on the clock and a note that said it was a "test car" up at STAP. Apparently they ran it around the track. It's now dangerously close to 100K. Best car I've ever owned....and some of the best advice Mr. Man has given me. (Except for the one about marrying him.);)
 
Bought a used 2004 SB with 25k on it 11/09. Previous owner was not too nice to it.

Now almost 30k and looking for more mods.

Yup. Pete gave all the receipts and paperwork he had to Steve (Darkside) who gave it to me. I also have a large magnet that was affixed to the side of the door at the dealer. It says "2003 Mercury Marauder" on it (that's it). Pete still has the jacket and the original spark plugs for the car, as well as a couple other doo-dads, he said he'd send them if/when he came across them. Not really important, but at least I know where the stuff is.


I just like knowing the car's history and being able to look at the previous owners' posts and whatnot.

Well I been around these cars for years now but became a proud owner of my MM 03 with 73XXX KLMS(45XXX MILES) from the original owner back in Oct/09.
 
Used is such a terrible term...I prefer "pre-adopted", which is what mine is. Jan '10 with 92,417 on the clock.
 
#8 was purchased new, went straight from factory to Kenny Brown's shop and we took delivery in June 03

#5 was purchased used, rescued sight unseen from Iowa in May 06

We loved #8 so much that Gordon decided to get me #5 so he could get his keys back. :D
 
I could actually answer in two categories.

Bought my DTR new in April of '04, after the car got totaled I bought my DBP used in Nov. '05 with 8K on the clock.
 
2003 300A Used. Bought from Florida Ford dealer April 2009. Original owner traded it for a truck. 19000 m. then. 27000 now. Love it.
 
Bought my Black 300A new on October 21, 2003.

Been enjoying it every since!:burnout:
 
Bought mine used just before Halloween in '05 with exactly 51K on the clock. Fell in love with in the moment I saw it. I now have around 91K on it, and have enjoyed every single mile (except for those driven while the wipers were screwy and those during the time I had a bubble in the cooling system).
 
Dealer had a used '03 on the lot, let me drive it for the weekend. I severely abused it......... Come Monday morning I told the dealer to find me a new one. Bought mine in April of '04.
