Whats the best fix? .. I tried the 3m tape.. but I failed to clean the area good enough.. Should I go ahead and totally remove the entire thing from the door?

3M molding tape. I'd remove it, make sure all is "operating room" clean, then reapply. Should do this in a heated garage or wait till it gets warm out.

Also make sure it hasn't flexed itself too much and stretched, this can make mouldings very hard to get back on and look decent.

Thats probably why it didn't stick.. I tried warming up the area with a blow dryer..Removal method? Fishing line?

Fishing line and Goof Off. You can also try the hair dryer to soften the adhesive.
