Double DIN Size?

Factory radio has had the kiss of death like so many before it. Looking to update it. Like to go Double DIN size. I see where others have gone the same route.

My question is: Do pretty much all Double DIN radios fit, or do we know the max depth? I don't want to make any permanent mods to the car that can't be undone. Crutchfied doesn't list any double DIN's that will factory fit, that they carry. Not that they are the be all, end all of info. Just looking to gather info before I buy. Thanks for your time.

Double DIN is a standard just like single DIN. It is an ISO 7736 standard.

They pretty much will all fit when you dremel off the lip for the stock radio. Squeezing all the wires in there could be a bit of a challenge though. I'm sure it's a topic that's been covered several times on this site.

Dremel or score it about 6x's with a razor knife.

If you take off a 1/4 to 1/3 of the rear of the bottom shelf you'll be OK.
