driver's seat belt buckle broken

Belt tongue won't insert all the way or lock. Saw something loose inside at the bottom, on button side, pushed it aside with trusty Swiss Army knife. Could then insert tongue and it seemed to lock securely. Driveable for the moment, but need to repair or replace.

Edit: Turned out to be debris; fine tweezers & forceps cured. 22 years' accumulation can do that.
