i've got a pretty cool trunk logo ----but i dont know how to upload here

99 and 01 Cobra engines were all aluminum. However they have different inernals. Additionally, I don't believe our engines were "hand assembled" by SVT so while they are the similar... they weren't produced in an as exacting manner.
 
Bottom of the picture for me. But on my MGM. Seems OK to me as the MGM is using the powerplant of the Stang...

Here's the one from the back. It's a '69 Gran Marquis Brogham emblem I bought on EBAY.

Although I no longer own the MM, I suppose Mike's dad left them on the car.:)

i say the motor was designed by svt, it says in the brochure.
and when the mid 90's style mustang cobra came out it had the DOHC motor.(debute of the DOHC 4.6)

so i say SVT emblems and cobra emblems fit the car

The DOHC 4.6L was in the '93 Mark VIII 1st :)

Personally I run 428CJ emblems on my 428CJ powered 67 Fairlane. The car didn't come that way, and I certainly wouldn't say my Fairlane was a Cobra Jet. :whistle:

But if we're wearing emblems on our cars that indicate the car is something it's not, and someone says we are a posers...

You are only expressing your own true self image, and I don't think it matters if you put pink lace panties on it as long as thats your image, or the one you are comfortable with. (not mine)
 
True it is your vehicle and you can do what you want with it badge wise, but it would be like sticking a Marauder emblem on a Mach 1 'cause they share the same engine. To me the vehicles are unique in their own way and to cross them is kind of..

Hey just remember the wise words from Ghostbusters..... Don't cross the streams.:lol:
