I noticed that you removed the factory h-pipe and installed an x-pipe and different cat-back. Was this just for the sound or did it show an improvement in performance. I have been told that even on a supercharged Marauder that exhaust was a dead end as far as gaining horsepower. I find that hard to believe after looking closely at the factory system.

We are finding about a 30 horsepower gain between adding the x pipe and the Random Technologies' high flow cats as well as the Borla high flow mufflers (we do use the stock tips). It's 2 1/2" all of the way back and welded together.

Let me know of any other questions.

WOW! That's fantastic and goes against most reports here. Do you by any chance have before/after Dyno sheets showing the improvement from this specific mod?

Thanks,

TAF,

What I have is dyno sheets on the car that we did with both the stroker and exhaust (311 at the wheels) and I based the 30 horsepower difference between that of ours and that of MAD3R's dyno after we stroked his engine (last I knew it was about 275 rwhp). I have not had anyone who wanted only the exhaust so I do not have info on that of a stock engine.

If you have any more questions let me know, if you want a copy of our dyno sheet with the stroker and exhaust, email me and I will send it back attached.

Thanks

IT a cumulative thing. Stroker pushes more air, so the stock exhaust, though fine for a stock motor, would now start being restrictive.

Would this be a acurate discription?

Yes, I believe it would be. But, with that same logic, someone who is doing a Supercharger may want to look into it as well.

I was just happy to have the better half agree to the engine rebuild. I didn't want to push my luck.

Headers and exhaust are on my Birthday/Christmas list.
