Faux Carbon Fiber cover not for me...

I think enough people have experienced enough real and very substantial problems working with DR that the premise behind this one is really very thin.

I haven't had issues with him outside of him being somewhat perfunctory but some of the things I read from (whom I consider) credible sources give me pause.

This faux-carbon fiber thing? It's was a simple shoulder-shrugging 'no thanks' for me and I moved on.

I have a couple of problems with this thread. First, my login and post numbers were used to create some sort of misguided database of people who allegedly had a problem with the CF component. well, I don't have a problem with it. I simply have no interest.
Secondly, regardless of what point anyone is trying to make, civility should be the number one priority. As well, opinions should not be stated as fact. I think that locking this thread out now would be fine with me as it is far from productive.
BTW: I base opinions about vendors on personal experience and not those of others. I've gotten excellent service from Dennis and the rest of the gang. Some products I like, others I don't. Big deal. That's life and business altogether. Lets get on with more productive activities.

Well said. I agree whole heartedly!

Hi Dennis,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

It was nice talking to you this morning. I would just like clarify a few points about my process. The process of water transfer printing is essentially custom painting. There is time involved with the prepping of the part, priming the part, laying a base coat down, applying the ink transfer, clear coating, and finally, polishing. The process is time consuming and detail oriented; however, I think you’ll find the end product to look just as real, if not better than a part that was made out of carbon fiber. If you considered making your part out of real carbon fiber, the price doesn’t compare when you look at the cost of tooling the part, the cost of the carbon fiber, then laying the carbon fiber just right, as to make the continuity of it appealing to the eye. In this comparison, I think you’ll find you get a nicer looking product with no question about fitment for a very reasonable price. Remember that this coating can be applied to many different parts of the car including interior parts such as dashes, steering wheels, center consoles. Also, the coating is as durable as the paint on your car. My lead time is 2 weeks.

A follow up...

After being called an idiot, I was incensed.

I prolly should have considered the source and let it go.

The problem with this thread's initial post besides the obvious name calling and inflamatory comments is that it serves to drive a wedge between those that have already established relationships.

So, LV, slander and defame all you want. You are making a fool of yourself. I hope when you calm down, you're embarrassed and think better of what you've started here.

I see most ignored my reply to you. I shall not delete it. It's how I handled it at that moment.

Many of us have met, traded, bought, sold spoken to, offered advice and received advice to and from others here. We will continue to do so long after the likes of you have gone.

I'm sorry if someone dosen't like the price of something being offered. But I see this problem at the grocery store, gas station, etc.... You yourself have the responsibility to decide if you are willing to pat the price for something you want or walk away. Unless Dennis holds a gun to your head and steals your wallet you can just walk away. There are alot of things for sale on this site I would love to have but am unwilling to part with good money to pay for. That does not make the people selling the merchadise liars or frauds. That only happens if the product is marketed with a claim that can not be validated.

Neat thread. I just wanted to plug my business here. Any other vendors in on this?

:banana2:

Just kidding...
