I am old enough; but can't say that I remember it. The Green Monster land speed record runs were in 1964-1965. This commercial might be as late as 1968.

I had never heard of Toyota until the summer of 1968 while on a trip to Denver, CO with my B-I-L and sister. I remember chuckling when I saw the sign in front of the dealer. "What the Heck is a Toy-O-Ta????" Little did I know. Then came Datsun. Remember those??
