Flowmaster Super 44 or Aero Turbine?

I am looking to change the mufflers on my 04 SB which is completely stock. I was looking at either Flowmaster Super 44s or Aero Turbines based on recommendations on here. At this point I am only changing the mufflers(no headers, x-pipes, etc....). Can anyone advise what the interior and exterior noise levels are with these mufflers? I am not sure which way to go at this point.
 
depends on what your looking for sound wise, both are loud imho, but the aeros are the louder of the two!
 
Both will increase sound. The only big main difference between the two is Flowmasters are chambered and Aeros are straight-thru design. The Aeros will be quiet at cruising rpms and will increase sound as you get on the gas, Flowmasters will make sound whenever your foot is on the gas.

I use to have Flowmasters on my car and after a few years I got tired of the interior drone (I had 2nd set of cats deleted and res-delete tips). I switched to Aero mufflers (changed nothing else) not only did I notice it was louder (even people asked what I did to make it louder) it was quieter at cruising speeds.
 
If I do go with Aeros, is there anything I need to change to the stock exhaust system which I can do on a limited budget or can I just add them and go?
 
I have super 44s and they are no where as loud as aeros. They are even quieter than 40s. Super 44s are a touch louder than stock. They are like the next step. Aeros are more "hot rod".
 
I've never heard the Aeros but I love my 44's. I've had them on for 3 years now, and nothing has made me think of switching them out so far.

A tune, CAI, and 44's were my first mods, so I know what its like with the stock system. You won't be disappointed.
 
I've converted Flowmaster people to Aeros, because they sound that good. lol Research the difference between a chambered (Flowmaster) muffler and a straight-thru design (Aero) muffler. The Aero will outflow the Flowmaster muffler as far as CFMs moved. More air moved means the engine breaths better but also creates more sound. I've never heard a complete stock exhaust with just Aeros on it before. Most have had the 2nd set of cats deleted and res-delete tips installed as well.

Whatever muffler you end up going with, have the tips extended out about by 1-1.5". It will help lessen the cabin drone.

I've had flowmaster 40 series on both crown vics and they sound good, but I decided to switch to the aeros on the Marauder(Black Mamba). I left everything stock to the exhaust, just changed mufflers and I love the sound. They are very quiet at idle almost stock. Not to loud at all when given gas. When its not loud enough for me maybe I'll decide to get rear cats deleted, but as for now I love the way it sounds. I will post a vid as soon as I get off work today, so keep an eye out for it...

Kirk, believe it or not, never got one of those and what is even more astonishing is that it passed inspection with those!

as for the drone, i had 3 things fighting me on that

1, my tips were not extended, they were actually tucked farther under about an inch and it looked way better, i hate whent hey stick out like some old hillbillys pick up.

2. my 3500stall made it way worse for the drone

3. my 410s didnt help either, that much more rpm dosent help.

the aeros are pretty strange though, at a certain point all the noise stops and the first time it happened i thought the car stalled.

if theres one thing i miss about that car its the sound from both the front end and the back. going through tunnels or under over passes sounded awesome
