Front End Rebuild Time?

I just recently had new front tires put on with road force balance all around and car fixer alignment specs, but going down a smooth highway at 65mph I still have a little wheel shake. When I'm taking turns on the highways, left or right, it's less noticeable. It also seems to be more of a pulse then a steady vibration.

MM currently has 113K on the clock with me owning it since 59K and to my knowledge no front end components have been replaced other than pads and rotors. I'm thinking wheel bearing at a minimum and maybe some control arms?? Have a little extra money this month and would like to address this issue.

FYI I got my title from USAA last month when I made my final payment, YEA!!!!!!

It may just be the tires if you didn't feel it before Jordan.

Obviously you could have some worn stuff by now but not guaranteed. If the shop that did the alignment was good, they would have spotted anything of concern.

Same shop I've always used since I came up to NC in 2013. Plus they are the only shop that is willing to do custom alignment specs in a 100 mile radius from my house. Maybe I'll have them do a once over just in case they weren't looking too hard before.

I had a very similar balance issue on a brand new set of BFG g-Force T/A KDWS in OEM sizes several years ago. Three possible problem areas.

1. Some shops claim "Road Force" balance. If they don't use the Hunter GSP 9700 machine, it is not a real Road Force balance.

2. Lazy shops will balance at 55 MPH to satisfy 95% of their customers. I always insist that they spin mine at 80+ MPH since that is a good cruise speed in the Marauder ... It actually likes it there on long distance trips.

3. Some shops don't clean the inside of the wheel very well before applying the stick on balance weights. It is very easy to throw a weight if it is put on over dirt and brake dust.

My problem was a combination of #2 and #3 above. Returned to the same shop and had them clean the wheel and spin to 80 MPH. Problem solved. Best to know your shop and watch what they do .... Or ask.
