God's Head Badging

How did you do it? What adhesive? Did you have to grind down the back of the badge? How did you relieve the original badges to accept the God's head? Thanks, John.

I ordered them from a guy in Canada and them came with the adhesive. I just pulled the plastic off, lined up the two locator holes in the trunk, pushed it on and it was done. I used a plastic putty knife and carefully removed the rear logo. For the front I unscewed the three plastic screws that hold down the radiator cover and then unscrewed the nut that holds the front logo.

Removing the two took about 5 minutes and the install about 2 minutes.

John Welcome to the Mecury Marauder site. There is a vast bank of knowledge on this site. This is by far the best site pertaining to the MM. Thanks to Logan and LML. John:)

Sorry, we do not know how to do that. We have a camera but have not used it. Sorry

The back one is the same size, without the mercury imprint, with the God's Head installed in the exact center, with a 3/8" or so black border. It looks like the original but not the waves. The Gods Heads are from Ford and exactly the same as you have in the wheels.

For the front one you need to send him your emblem and he shaves out the center and puts in the Gods Head. They are perfect and they look like they were molded at the factory.

He's a great guy and would return your money if you did not like them I am sure.

I paid $160.00 for the two plus Federal Express Freight. I shipped them to Canada on Monday and had them on my car on Friday. The FedX freight was a killer $38.00 to Canada and about $30.00 back from Canada. I would take more time next time and use a cheaper method of transportation. Maybe the US postoffice express mail.

anyone have an idea what the centercaps alone go for?

found something interesting today while having my friend Pat fix my CATS problem.... the Mazda B series pick up, late model, has the same configuration hub cap as my Crown Vic.... if I were to remove the Mazda round logo from there and stick a Godhead centercap in, it'd look like a Police Interceptor Marauder, LMAO...

anyway, how much are they?

wheel center caps ran me roughly $25 each. dremmel work was not easy, but not that difficult. my advise is to do it, but do it slowly, very slowly. see my detailed explanation elsewhere in the forums.

if you are not good with your hands or lack the patience, have someone else do it.

Just for the record Slowpoke's design for the trunk badge is not the same as shown on TAF or Martyo vehicles, check out the gallery.

GODS HEADS

i HAVE 3 03 mm WHEEL CENTERS FROM A WHEEL CHANGE I HAD TO MAKE.... WHERE DID YOU INSTALL THE HEAD THAT YOU USED ? I WOULD LIKE TO GET RID OF THE TRUNK LOGO, BUT THESE WHEELS CENTERS ARE TOO SMALL, AND I HAVE SEEN A MM NET MEMBER WHO REPLACED HIS TRUNK LOGO, WITH A GOOG LOOK. I'M CONSIDERING A LOWER REAR BOTTOM ON EACH FRONT FENDER. WHAT ADHEASEVE DID YOU USE ? THANX...

are there any holes in the rear for the trunk emblem or just 2 sided tape? thinking of just removing the rear and leaving clean shaving.

They will fit.....if you are handy. Are you handy?
Send a PM and I will gladly explain.

Someone else will have to explain the front,
and likely no one will explain the
.........sides??? Don't do it man!!!
