Good old brake pedal mush

Just set up the tce brake lines and kns centric premium with hawks, and still a mush pedal. Going to try and bleed once more, although with gravity fill and bleeding I never had a stiffer pedal. just horrible on the road. If bleeding doesn't help is there any upgrades with a brake booster or master cylinder? Thanks guys.

No upgrades for the MC or booster. You may have air still in the lines or maybe a bad seal in the MC.

After gravity bleed or pressure bleed check m/c with car running holding steady pedel pressure. If pedel continues to go down you may have a bad piston sleve seal.

No fluids leaking anywhere at MC or lines. Pedal gets rock hard while bleeding, but with car running goes to floor. Attempting another bleed. What piston could have a bad seal? In the MC or a caliper?

Sounds like you could have a bad booster.

Was reading on the crownvic site a bit about air getting into the MC and having to activate the ABS, is this the same issue on the mm? Is there a way to test the booster and the MC to determine the method of fixing if this next brake bleeding doesn't work?

If you didn't let the fluid in the MC run out while bleeding the brakes there shouldn't be any air in the system.

If air got into MC, how do I go about getting it out? That's the only thing I can think of without replacing booster or MC. So if someone can lend me a hand on that process before I have to spend more money and redo again.

Your pedal should not go all the way to the floor. Try bleeding again sounds like you have air in the system again.

If you got air in the MC you didn't keep fluid in the MC while bleeding.... you may need a trip to the dealer to bleed the system by cycling the ABS system.

Think it stayed in MC, but system got trashed and soft pedal for a while. After several bleeds, including one with car running I finally got it right on. Pedal and stopping is awesome. Finally feels like it should have. Thanks for all the help guys! And thanks to kns brakes and tce for the lines. Really a huge difference. Stops as good as our 2011 fusion.
