broke but not dead!
Trying to get my mod list for Marty to get a start up tune .
I couldn't remember what fuel pump I went with when it was replaced.
I looked all through my receipts and couldn't find it anywhere.
I figured I posted up a thread about it and low and behold I found a thread that I made showing the information.
I thought I used a Focus or a Cobra pump, turns out that I used a GT 40 pump.
I have been lazy about making a garage list of Mods , now I'm seeing how important it is to keep tthese records!
 
I've used this forum for that exact purpose before. I was trying to remember some mod I did to the car years ago and just looked it up in my post history. Also, I've even gone through the post history of the previous owner to see what he did to the car. This site is a valuable resource for the history of my car. I even have the username of the previous owner written on the back of my bill of sale so I can always look back for reference.
 
I kick myself for not keeping a log book of everything ever done to the car including dates and mileage. Along with that an organizer with all receipts filed neatly.

I never really cared before on other cars because I never kept them coupled with not caring. Not too sure how my car grew into the monster it has become? I never planned to touch it.

I do know the next car will be documented...

Some guys even document there builds with threads, and all sorts of MADNESS!
 
I used to keep track of everything, even the mileage and amount of gas - then life got in the way :). Though just last month I was looking for all the original documentation and I'm not sure where it went. Sure hope I can find it. I have dealer installed daylight running lights on my car - which was mandatory in Canada but not in US. So I have a one of one :rolleyes:
 
I keep all documentation in folders in a filing cabinet. It's about 6" thick.

That is actually a good idea or should I say a must to document every single mod, I think I'll start to do that since I'm a beginner.
