LL3,

Well, I was planning on going to the chicken place on Sunday....but a buddy called and asked if I wanted to go to Joliet Sunday for the race. We got VIP tickets. The only bad thing is that we will be guests of Jeff Gordon. The seats are the ones right dead center, almost all the way up (best ones in the house). All the food and drink that we want, all access passes, the works. How could I say no. So, I will not be going to the meet on Sunday. I'll catch you guys at the next one. We even get to meet and talk to Gordon. Anyone want me to sabatage his ride? Should be a real good time!

I'm in section 401 or 406 (I'll get back to you on that). As for Jeff's car, DEMOLISH IT!!!!

LL3,

I think my buddy said that we were in section 401 also. I think row 50 something. I don't remember. I'll find out for sure. It should be alot of fun. Look for the Marauder. It will be there somewhere!

For you guys going to the race, here's a heads up from the Winston Cup Daily Scene:

PARKING PROBLEMS POSSIBLE
Weather forecasters don’t expect any trouble for this weekend’s Winston Cup and Busch Series races at Chicagoland Speedway, but track officials say parking may be slower than in the past. The track is urging spectators to leave at least an hour earlier than normal to assist in the parking process after heavy rains over the past nine days affected the lots. Forecasters at the National Weather Service, AccuWeather and the Weather Channel say there’s a 25 to 30 percent chance of rain for today’s qualifying sessions, but they expect the chance of rain to diminish sharply for the rest of the weekend

If it's anything like Charlotte in May, it can be a disaster. Usually, I'm in my seat 15 minutes after leaving the house. This year it took an hour and a half and I live less than 2 miles from the track. 35% of the parking lots were either under water or too wet to be used.

Good luck and have fun.

Geez Sarge, you put mustard on peanut butter and mayonaise sandwiches, not on pepperoni. I think all the high speed driving is causing you oxygen shortages, maybe we've got to pressurize the cabin in your newest Marauder.
