I'm thinking SS wanted to get rid of the gold plated ones, I bought mine from eBay at the same price and they came in postage from SS Inserts themselves. I doubt you could find them anymore, although I never bother looking obviously...

They look like regular raised letter in the day time. Have to find my pictures in storage. And yes they were like $40+ when I got them..
