MARAUDERVILLE III
WOODWARD DREAM CRUISE 2005
Hosted by the Motor City Marauders
February 14, 2005

We are pleased to announce the Host Hotel for Marauderville III event this year at the Woodward Dream Cruise, which begins with events on Wednesday, August 17, and concludes Sunday morning, August 21. After comparing the options, we have selected the Hampton Inn and Suites in Madison Heights.

HAMPTON INN & SUITES
32420 STEPHENSON HIGHWAY
MADISON HEIGHTS, MI 48071

The Hampton has a number of services and amenities that are suited to our needs. They were kind enough to extend us a special room rate, in spite of the fact this is the busiest week for them. Our special rate for the week is SINGLE for $97, KING for $100, DOUBLE for $104.

Included in the room rate is a breakfast, including juice, coffee, yogurt, cereals, breads, fresh fruit, fruit salad, French toast, Danish, biscuits, gravy, and sausage. They also have a small Hospitality Suite that we will be able to use for registration.

We have secured a block of 100 rooms of various types. The reserved dates are Tuesday, August 16 thru Sunday, August 21. Events begin on Wednesday, and this is the reason for securing August 16. Each individual guest must make their own reservation with the Host Hotel. You must identify yourself as a member of the group when making reservations, the group name is MOTOR CITY MARAUDERS .

Reservations can be made by calling (248) 585-8881, or 1-800-HAMPTON, or on their website: www.hampton-inn.com/hi/detroit-madison with group/convention code # CCE.
They have a 72 hour cancellation policy.

For now they will initially hold the block of rooms till April 1st, which we can possibly extend, but only if we show we may need more rooms, so if you even think that you may attend, rent your room. You can cancel any time before the event. It is highly recommended that you reserve your room as soon as possible.

This hotel has easy access from I-75, via any number of other freeways in SE Michigan. It will allow us the back way to Woodward, as well as to the other venues. It is also located in a good area, and I will get special attention for our cars in the lot from the local Police. They have agreed to help out with any special needs a group like ours may need, such as using their lot to wash and detail our cars.

More MVIII updates to follow.

I'll be calling soon also.

I won't be getting a room for the 16th...as I'll most likely be arriving at about 8am on the 17th.....trailering my MM of course :)

Reservations are made

I'm booked at the hotel. Recommend calling the hotel directly. The folks at the toll free central reservations didn't see a Motor City Marauders listed, only the CCE which stands generically for Car Club Event.

Just a thought, there may be more than one car club there that weekend. Shouldn't affect your reservation, just the numbers count.

Tried to book on line first but the hotel was listed as not available.
Are we there yet???

Motor city doo

We're all signed up for the Mike's 65th Birthday Festival Week Celebration, and cruise. Just think; I get to do this because I bought a car. Is this a great country, or what!:woohoo:

BTW, that rate? It's per night, right? I mean, they're not giving us a room for four nights for $100 are they?

I just booked 17th-22nd. I bugged her for info and she told me only about 10 of us have booked so far.

Barry needs a roommate. :D
