How big's your garage?

Im in the development stages for a new garage behind my existing shop ( for my havc equipment ) and was wondering for you guys that store your MM indoors how big is your garage? I was thinking at first of a 18x28 or 18x36 but now im thinking I want to keep my MM indoors ( when I get it ) along with the lightning. Im currently keeping the L in my hvac shop and thats the main reason for the new garage, but if im getting the MM I wont want it out in the weather either. I checked on a 22x36 with two 10x8 garage doors this afternoon and its going to run about 2k more than the smaller ones and thats just the structure NO concrete additional figured in that 2k. So im guessing another 500 to 1000 for the concrete. What size you guys have? How much room to spare with the cars in there?

My garage is 19.6 deep and I have to tap the sheetrock with the front bumper of my quadcab to be able to close the doors behind it. I would love to have a garage at least 25 feet deep so I could have a workbench but it aint gonna happen now.

32'W x 40'D and it's to damn small... Currently the Marauder, '69 Fairlane Cobra and a '88 T-Bird are hangin' out in there, if I didn't have so much other stuff I could get at least two more in there...

mine is 32'w by 28' deep. its a decent size garage for three big cars and some work space in front of them as well.

21x21 easily fits the Marauder, and the minivan. Plus more 😉

Plus I built an attached shed/addition to the back side with a 36" door between the two. I needed to get my tools out of the garage so I could park.. That one is 10' deep x 20' wide.

Just add a lift :)

Ours is 26 X 36... a friend told me to go the extra width over the typical 24' it makes a big difference. If I could have (septic is in the way) I would have gone longer. Two full size cars will not fit nose to tail or trucks and cars. We have 5 in there right now.

You guys have unbelievable garages. I can only wish.

If I put a lift in my garage, if I were to raise the car, the car would come up into the master bedroom.

My town would never let me build a big garage (it would never meet property line clearances), and I'm already approaching $9,000 per year in local property taxes. Add in a big garage and watch the taxes go nuts.

And, in my area, my town's taxes are relatively low due to the amount of large shopping malls, stores, etc in the town. Neighboring town's tax rates are higher.

(In a neighboring town, they re-appraised my friend's house, and said his 16 X 16 outdoor patio is now considered "living space".)

I'm about to build a 24 by 36 by 12 pole barn style garage.
I'd make it bigger but am constricted by a Pecan tree and a drain field.

How about not big enough.

Nice garage Marty!

Russ I have been in your garage (MV-VIII) and it is really a great setup. (Thanks again!)
