How to get 500hp???

Dragonnight, where are these 50.00 headers that fit Marauders? The frame mods are rear control arms, sway bars, etc. You're a douche.
im a douche? you cant even spell knight correctly! gtfo you can buy headers from 50 bucks all the way up to 1k this is used you're a moron. \

so you need sway bars and a complete suspension upgrade to handle 500HP? buhahahahah OK kid so let me guess you build high performance cars for a living? you build engines for a living?
btw those are suspension mods not frame mods again you're a moron nice try!

I believe there are several MM Owners who paid a well known shop in the $37K range for a Twin Screw/Forged/Stroked that generated ~500RWHP.

I never understood why, the $$$/RWHP ratio did not make sense.

I said $31K; not 37, but I understand the feeling of those who feel the money is extreme for strict hp gain. But the money for me is not about hp alone. Engine wise, I probably will spend $16K.

All the rest of the money is to preserve a car I love. And none are qualified to say what $ is too much for that.

I was under the impression the 4.6 was a good engine.I was thinking of boring it out bigger pistons performance cams beefier crank beefing up tranny driveshaft differential and then putting the blower on it

Im just trying to stack up all the parts I need piece by piece then when its all there bore the engine and rebuild it and put everything else together

glad to see your looking at replies!
stock MM short block internals are at risk boosted north of 425/450 rwhp
cams are not needed at all.
forged pistons, rods and crank at 4.6 with stock heads, better fuel pump, larger injectors and a high boost Eaton will get you right at 500rwhp
most guys with between 425-475 rwhp still have a strong rebuilt trans and 8.8 rear - nothing super fancy.
more power than that you'll need a larger blower and much improved fuel supply, and stronger trans, rear etc.
4.6 is a good engine, just needs to be boosted with internals to handle that. (Cobra 03/04)

^^^ what chief said...You'll need forged internals, rods, crank, pistons..cams and heads not needed..then all the blower parts..eaton, whipple, custom brackets, pulleys, etc..and then the trans and rear end upgrades..31 spline axles, bigger brakes, trans work.. and you;ll need a savings account..pending on how much work you can do yourself and how many deals you get buying parts..at bare minimum you are looking at $20k, prolly more like $25k+ and you'll need to have at least 10% extra for budget overruns.. Other members here have spent far more than that to achieve their goal of high HP. Just rethink it and spend far less by ding your average eaon swap with stock parts and be happy at 425 rwhp (near 500 at the crank) it'll cost far less.. aroud $4k to $4.5 for parts..or buy one already done..

So are the parts from 03-04 Cobras,Mach 1 and marauders interchangeable??

this thread has 99% of info needed to understand the swap

Please make the time to read it for your best judgement on how you want to proceed. the mystery gets clear, the cost a reality and fewer question, more you know. I helped me understand much better what is involved.
Some modifications and adaptors are needed, but WHY is explained within that thread.
it is so commonly done now, most new guys to these cars have read and figured it out. Sourcing the parts from Cobras is still pretty easy and low cost.

Thanks everybody for your input. The good thing is because of my job I have a shop and tools so I'll be able to save money by doing alot of it myself. My main goal with this car is to walk on SS camaros and srt8 Challengers.

Exactly. Thus my $31,000 project cost.

If you can swap on the blower, and decide to get a 4.6 forged short block, swap that in also, your labor mostly, thrifty parts buying, I could see you getting everything done to reach 500rwhp for ~$15k all in.
That should hold most stock late model muscle cars hostage.
