How would I do against a Charger R/T

NorCal Marauders
I just picked up the Marauder and a few times I commuting home I have been tempted to test the Merc out against a Charger R/T. I know my Mustang GT can take it but was wondering if you guys ran up against one? I only have a drop in K&N and 3 Chamber Flowmasters.

i'd say with a sct tune and 4.10's itd be cake

I say go for K&N FIPK instead. The tune and the gears should do it, with what you have, especially if you have a long enough road. Make sure to specify 91 octane gas when you get that tune, and the gears you're using. We got some 100 out the pump over in Redwood City, and 100 and 104 from 55 gallon drums right by my work in San Mateo. Save one slot for that high-octane tune

Get a tune and go from a roll. If it's the AWD version you can probably take him. I would say tune and 4.10's should be enough.

question....those 4.10's...are they good all around or just for like short distances because i've heard that the 3.55's were better for highway racing...

Comparing 4.10's to 3.55's, you will loose approximately 1 mile per gal. and 10 mph at the top end. But 4.10 are quite drivable all around.

We haven't raced yet....

........thats.....cause .........maybe try'n to fix it up a bit has been a hassel with wife using it so much....no time to have it alone to work on it --and not let her know...........naw.....that wouldn't be the case........naw...............

You can also add that you will lose a lot of your top end pulling power. My car is very potent from 0-115MPH. After that, its a very slow pull to top speed.
However, I wouldnt trade my 4.10's for anything. They are great for all around driving and passing power through the entire power band.

For the first part I'd have to disagree because I've had mine up to 140 MPH, and the MM had more balls.....But I didn't.

For the second part I totally concur.

Keep modding. I say headers, full exhaust, OD pulleys, CAI, tune, and 4.10's. Then, MAYBE.

More than maybe....when I was at that mod level R/T's were not much of a problem.

ya rt's arent anything special i actually think they suck but if we are talking about srt's then theres more thought into it. just glad i can beat both in my sleep lol

My old boss had an r/t when we raced he got me by about a fender and all I had was a K&N cai

I agree with Blackmobile, if you lose with those mods, you shouldn't be driving. I believe you mean UD pulleys, not OD.
Yea, thats prettymuch the way my car is set up except for cobra manifolds as opposed to headers. Get a good launch and you're golden ;). If you really want to embarass go from a 20 MPH roll :coolman:
