HVAC Fan not working!

Ok, I know there have been a lot of HVAC questions lately, but my problem seems to be different. Today for work I had to drive about 120 miles freeway and about 20 miles city driving total. It was 100 degrees today in Salt Lake City, so I was blasting my A/C. My A/C has always worked great. It worked just fine all day, blowing hard cold air. When I parked my car at my office it was working great before I turned the car off. When I went back out to the car to leave, I turned the car on and had no fan. I tried to turn it off and on, I tried Max A/C, Norm. A/C, Vent, heat. Nothing, the fan won't turn on, no matter what I do. I can hear the A/C compressor click on when I select A/C, but no fan. Any ideas?

Fan control module!!:argue:

It is in the duct behind the passenger side valve cover.....whack it with a screw driver handle and it may work again but you need to replace it.....Ford has had a lot of problems with them!!:mad2:

Don't ask how I know??

+1!

i had that happen on my GM in late 05'. Covered under warantee! You experienced the same symtoms

Jeez, I had the same problem. I did what you said, (tap that thing behind the pass. side valve cover with a screw driver) and WA-LA it's blowing cold arctic air once again. Thanks a lot guys. Once again...some very helpful people on these boards.
