IS there a way to repair the dot matrix trim?

the fat bastid

Kneel before Zod!
I finally got a gouge in a dot matrix panel, exposing the black underneath it. Is there any way in hell to repair this? Does anyone sell this pattern as a wrap or anything?

Which, as we all know, is a waste of marauderness if they are wrapped with another design. Did GMs or CVs ever have the same interior color as the marauder? If they ever did, get some of those doors and trim which is probably plentiful, then wrap all the wood grain in something close to the dot matrix.

To my knowledge CV or GM did not have the carbon fiber trim. I'd look at getting it hydro dipped. You might be able to get a close enough match.

CV trim is narrow, has the textured plastic below it. The GM trim was the same shape as marauder trim, but wood grain. I've seen Gm trim on a CV wrapped, seen CV trim wrapped on a CV. Never seen CV trim put into a GM

Was this on the dash trim or the door panel? You may need to get another dash trim or door panel. The dot matrix design on the dash, shifter bezel and door panels are unique to the MM.

If someone knows someone who repaired it effectively, I would be interested in knowing as well.

it is a door panel which stinks. I wish they used screws to hold it in instead of melt rivets.

I'm going to talk to a graphic design friend of mine. Duplicating the pattern shouldn't be that hard but then it needs to be printed on...uh...something...

any good graphics place could replicate the pattern and print it on vinyl so you could overlay it. I plan to wrap all the DOT matrix pieces in my 04 with the 3M carbon fiber look vinyl. Change the look a little.

I did my P71 in CF and it looks OK but it is really hard to not get wrinkles or folds in the corners. I was a graphics guy for 20 years and know how to do wraps etc and it was really tough to make it look factory. All the films on Amazon are thicker than you expect and a heat gun only helps so much

That's why I'm going with hydro dipping.
