At least someone will make a bunch of money on this marauder. Just won't be the women who sold it. I just think it's kind of sad to take advantage of a situation.
Stop being jealous.

Not jealous at all. One thing to get a deal It's another to take advantage. I also read that there was people willing to pay more but the brother in law made this deal. Hell the parts are worth 15k alone. And the buyer I am sure knew this.
If we don't know all the facts, people shouldn't be making these comments....especially in Jerry's "Hi Everyone It's been awhile!!" thread.... :shake:
BTW: People selling cars should know what they are worth before making the deal with a prospective buyer.
Hi Jerry,
Probably been asked, but do you still have any of the trilogy dev cars?
Long time no see "old" friend.
Thanks for stopping by.
You still got the two marauders?
Yes, I still have both of my Marauders. They are family members.

Well I'll be. Nice to see you here Jerry. I too came back to the MM community a while ago. Even though I don't have my MM anymore (got my Sable) they have welcomed me back and was a great support during the lost of my mom and my heart surgery. Great group of people here.
I don’t know who you are, but I really don’t appreciate the message you are conveying about me taking advantage of the situation. So, not that it is any of your business, but here are the facts.
1. I was offered the car and the parts by a friend of mine and I declined several times. I already have two of the best known Marauders around and I did not need a third one.
2. There is a fair amount of risk involved when you buy something that is all apart and you don’t have any idea of what is missing from several boxes, garages, basement locations....
3. Yes, the parts looked like they were very valuable on face value, but again there was a big risk also.
4. This car and the parts were offered to several other people and they turned it down. If it was that great a deal, someone else would have taken the car before me.
5. I made a cash offer, which no one else offered, and she took it. If she did not want my offer she could have told me “no thanks”.
6. She was trying to get rid of an increble amount of parts and cars because she did not want them and she was paying for storage that was very expensive.
Anyone else could have made an offer...anyone else could have gotten off their ass and made several trips over to the garages and sifted through the parts...anyone else could have put their money where their mouth was and jumped on the deal..... but no one else did. Was it a good deal in retrospect? Yes, but it came with risks. I am missing several expensive parts like the ABS unit that I had to spend $600 for and there and several more parts I am trying to find.
My advise to you is get the facts before you make irresponsible statements about someone else’s business.

Out of curiosity, Jerry do you own the black marauder with the ground effects? Does it have a price tag? Everytime I google that marauder, I drool all over it.
Cool story. Good luck to you
There's a lot of truth to this statement. Hindsight is easy to see afterwards.
I had to deal with my fathers car collection and looking back on it I probably sold several cars for less than what I could have sold them for. Same for lots of parts. Sometimes it's easier to sell cheaper and be done with it. Nothing wrong with that.
