Got another one Saturday...
I snagged another one Saturday... First Place in my class...1977-2005 Ford Products (Except Mustangs)...There were over 250+ cars in the show... This could get addictive... lets see it costs $25.00 to enter and they give you a $4.00 trophy....yea this makes sense...

Here's a fee of my favorite "SPECIALTY" trophies.
Before the blower and all the "BLING" my marauder was bringing home the gold! This trophy is very special to be because this is the FIRST TROPHY I ever won! And I was bone stock! :up:
Then I got this one 2 years in a row!
1st. PLACE ALL MARAUDER CLASS!
Yes I really do have a trophy for having the MOST BLING!!! :coolman:
Even got a 1st. place for having the loudest exhaust!

First place Bracket Class 2005 Draggin' For Toys.
Runner-up 2008 (year may be off) SSHS.
Runner-up SCF Shootout 9.0 index. (Crossville Spring).
Runner-up SCF Shootout 9.0 index. (Crossville Fall).
I have four photos (somewhere) of me at the cash window at Huntsville Dragstrip. (semi's or runner-up)
I have photo of cash window at Dothan (runner-up).
Bad part of this, it just reminded me of how often I've been first looser. Need to practice some more.

NOT SAYING THAT THIS IS THE CASE FOR ANY OF THE TROPHY WINNERS ABOVE, but too many shows that I've entered my Galaxie in lately are giving out trophies for nothing.
Seems like if you show up with a halfway decent car under it's own power, you leave with something.
I'd rather get a "best 20" trophy (not a #1, 2, 3.. ranking, just a group selection) instead of bringing home a trophy that doesn't mean much.
I also don't like being judged against a brand new Mustang, Corvette, Challenger, or Camaro that someone drove off the showroom last week, polished, and drove to the show.
There's no way my 64 Galaxie (213,000 miles) could ever look as clean, neat, or shiney as my 03 TBird (19,000 miles). Not a fair comparison.
