Lidio called me today with some good news on his car. Lidio ran his Marauder at Martin, Michigan today, not sure what the event was. I will let him fill in the blanks and tell the tale, but bottom line is he ran a bone jarring 11.47 @ 121 MPH. Suprising numbers taking into consideration it was 85 degrees and high humidity.

Good job Lidio! :high5:

It was a pleasure getting to see your tail lights during the test & tune session at Indy in Mrsteamrope's DTR. :bows:

I will be looking forward to Ubly in Oct.Coolweather and High Octane(Plus a little NOS) will make for some great times.

Lidio breaks last best E.T.

October 16th I think. If its cool you will see some great numbers from the Trilogy cars. I still havent seen my best time yet after the smaller pully install...make plans to go..its a blast!

Great time and Congratulations to Lidio !!!!

I wish at Indy some of our cars had run a little better....oh well....maybe next time.

Got back from Martin Michigan’s US-131 drag way this evening and finally made some time to post and reply here.

To say the least my MM ran incredible in the warm weather we had both days this past weekend. It ran 11.47 and 11.48 at 121mph and 119mph. And numerous 11.60’s and 11.50’s. The track prep was awesome and my 60 foots were right on… 1.67 to 1.70’s... still not equal to my best 60ft of 1.65.
The tune was the same that I took with me to Indy other then adding one more degree of timing at WOT over all. With all due respect this proves to me that the Indy track just wasn’t working in terms of traction. This is why most of us that went to Indy were 2 - 4 tenths off in the ¼ mile ET’s.

I really don’t see my MM going into the 10’s in the ¼ mile any time soon. It would require probably about another 100 – 150 horsepower or some serious weight loss to do it. 4400 pounds isn’t as easy to move as some of the 3400lbs Mustangs I’m used to. I don’t intend to do long tubes on my MM any time soon even though I know that they’ll be worth about 50hp on my current set up. I have 4.10’s right now… 4.56’s would be worth some thing I’m sure but still not going to those either. A loser converter is not going to do much at the level of low end torque I’m now pushing now. Plus loose torque converters aren’t all that great in heavy cars/trucks for over all drivability.

My car has now had the Trilogy blower on it for over roughly 18,000 miles. It makes about 14psi of boost on 93 octane and it’s driven and beaten like this every day when I drive it. When I go to the track with it, I pump in 100 unleaded. This is the only way I will use the Nitrous on top of the boost and is what allows such a huge amount of power to be added to a totally stock MM engine. The 100 octane is needed to keep detonation under control on this motor because of its 10:1 compression, 13.8psi of boost and about a 75 shot of Nitrous. My MM and the Trilogy number 1 and several other MM’s with Trilogys are starting to prove what I’ve said for years… the stock, cast 4.6L pistons, block and crank can handle a substantial amount of boost with a proper tune and octane. If my MM can take what I’ve been doing for the last 18K miles, imagine how safe only 9psi should be with a proper tune!!

We’ll see what happens this fall with some 50 degree weather…

Thanks

Hey Lidio, I can't believe I'm right there w/you in the 60' catagory!! I ran a 1.663, and a 1.682 back in June on 93 octane gas. Unfortunately my trap speeds are no where's near yours my friend. Bravo!!! I wish you would post some of your timeslips, because I'm curious if my 330' times compare to yours too. I see that you have me beaten already by the 1/8th mile mark too both in MPH and time. I'm also wondering if they're kicking you off the track once you run two ET's under 11.5 since you don't have a roll cage. If Lidio doesn't get back here shortly, and someone else knows the answer to that question, then please feel free to share.

only gets better

If Lidio ran his best so far in 85 degree weather, not @ his best 60' time.any speculators when the weather gets cool+ an awsome 60'=11.2's???:D I for one would love :nerd: to see that!!

Rushing off to work this morning... I will scan and post the time slip tonight.

1/4 mile 330 was 4.77 on the 11.47 run though.

Later
