Lighting Troubles - LCM Issue???

Last night I tried to activate the high beams but, although I got the blue light on the dash, I didn't get high beams. Is this a known LCM problem?

(I've got the projector beam lights that are wired to the battery, drawing no power through the LCM; however, they use the high beam trigger in the existing light circuit.)
 
If you mean you have HID and it is not changing from low to high or back. The mechanical bulb part goes bad and gets stuck on high beam or mind did. Had to replace the bulbs or get a new set of lights.

The most common LCM problem is the headlights either don't work or they flash on and off. A tap on the LCM will fix both problems for awhile.
 
I would check connections and troubleshoot with test light, or powerprobe if you have one.
 
Did you buy bi-xenon hids? Or xenon-halogen? Or ther ballast you bought doesn't have hi-beam capability.
 
Okay - that answers the question. If the headlights either work (low beam), or the high beams work, then the LCM isn't busted. That means the problem is either the connectors for the headlights (one of them wasn't waterproofed, and my wrapping with electrical tape may not have been sufficient, so I'm going to bypass it) or the relay that switches them.

Thanks for the help - I just didn't know whether "no high beams" was a symptom of a bad LCM.
