hi my limted slip broken the clutch inside the limted do some sound when i turn left or right so if i want get anew one for ford racing what the part no# and the good one for race and daily use
my friend have limted for crown victoria 2007 police intercepter so what your advice did i take my friend's or i buy new one ?? for agency or from ford racing ??
 
What year is your car and what spline axle do you have? 28 or 31?

You could buy a whole new unit or have someone rebuild you stock limited slip but would probably be cheaper to buy a new limited slip Ford Trac-Lok unit.
 
If you use the 2007 police intercepter limted slip Diff you will also need the axles also IIRC 06 and up PI have 31 spline we only have 28 oem
 
can i ask about gear set 3.73 rpm

how much add more than 3.55

60,75,88,100,120,140 mph

becouse i think change the gear set for my car

Going to 3.73's would be a waste of money IMHO.

Go with 4.10's, you'll be running about 200RPM faster at 60 -70mph and you'll only lose about 1mpg..... but that shouldn't be a problem in your country :D

the fuel is not big deel the importint is the motor and the trans temp

Right... I meant the 1mpg decrease in gas mileage is no big deal over there.

We've been running 4.10's in our Marauders for many years and thousands of miles. No problems with engines or trannys related to the 4.10's.

You most likely will not notice a difference with the 3.73's. You WILL notice a big difference with the 4.10's

Get an auxiliary tranny cooler for your trans, it cheap insurance.

The 4.10's will not cause any problems with your engine or trans.

If you have an aftermarket tune, it will need adjustment for the different gear ratio so your speedometer will read the correct MPH and tranny will shift correctly.

so if i change the clutch inside part did well install good or i have to get the same stock part ?? becouse i sell my old one and i bring my friend part for crown vic police 2007 so

any advice ???

If you have the stock axle shafts in the car which are 28 spline you can not use a limited slip carrier that is 31 spline unless you also change the axle shafts to 31 spline.

So you need a limited slip carrier that is also 28 spline
 
I now but witch part that response 31 and 28 spline the clutch or the part how hold the gear set becouse I may change the clutch from 31 to 28 if I can do that work or not
 
You can either replace the clutches which would be these parts.

Or you can replace the whole carrier which is here which would mean if you went with 31 spline carrier you would need 31 spline axles. Thats what they are saying the police interceptor would be. If you are not gonna be able to get the axles you would need a 28 spline carrier.
