Stranger in the Black Sedan
Won't you hop inside my car?
Acura is certainly not above the law though. I owned one of the MANY 2000-2003 TL type S's that ate transmissions like it was its job (The TL and Honda Accord have the same problem in that year range). I was on trans #4 at 46k miles and I called it quits and sold the car. It was faster than the Marauder stock, outhandled it so bad it wasn't even funny, and had much much better seats (and build quality, by a long shot). Plus got about 5 mpg better. But Honda/Acura can't fix the 2000-2003 transmissions because of an undersized 3rd gear clutch pack, so they keep rebuilding them and having them fail every zero to 50k miles (or every couple thousand if you get them from the same reman house my dealer was getting them from) so I had to can it. The Marauder is a big huge tank that is sooo 30 year old Detroit in every way except the quad cam engine. I figure the major components should last until the end of time though.
