If any of our West Coast friends want to watch there is a segment on Dateline NBC tonight about ricer racing on freeways. Seems the Florida Highway Patrol has Marauders for pursuit interceptors to keep a lid on this.

I caught the show, thought I would come on and mention it. . .damn, you guys are quick. Nice to know that our local law enforcement uses our favorite vehicle to run these guys down.

My wife just told me about it and sure enough this site is on it..Does anyone know when they are going to show that Dateline again? I know they repeat these shows on MSNBC, just wondering if anyone knows when they would show this one......This is what I get for working late, the one time something good on TV and I miss it! : :mad2:

Florida Highway Patrol in the Davie area has 2 Black & 1 Silver Marauder, Now and then they Join us at our monthly meets. A really nice bunch of guy's.

Damn Dennis....don't share ALL our secrets!:P

J/K of course. Great client to have on your side though.

Date Line Marauder

I caught the show. Good report on a scary craze. I hope these kids live long enough to gain some wisdom. Did anyone notice the look on the reporter's face riding shootgun in the Marauder? Might have needed some papertowels for the seat after that ride.

Saw it too. Here's a couple that showed at one of our meets

Just watched the segment. The FHP said that the heavily modded tuners out run them. Maybe you should sell them S/C's. :D

I think you can get it @ their website - not 100% but might be worth a search!

Glad I Caught the Show

I didn't know this was going to be on, but I caught it by accident. Was having a bite to eat and had Dateline on in the background. Started watching the segment about the ricers videotaping their own highway street-racing hijinx and, lo and behold, there was a real pretty FHP Marauder chasing them down. Commentator noted that the Marauder can pursue at speeds up to 140 MPH.

Seeing the Marauder on TV really made my day.

CrazyCor15, thanks for the link. On their site, the FHP says their three Marauders were donated. Any idea who may have donated them?

I didn't know it was going to be on either. I'm glad I was watching. Being an LE Officer, I was intrigued when I saw the 'teaser' before the broadcast. Getting to see an MM was an unexpected benefit! I drive a police unit everyday, but I’ve got to tell you that seeing the MM blazing down the highway with the strobes activated was very cool. Now, if I could just catch the darn show on again so I can tape it and show it to my squad. Purely for 'training purposes' of course.
