Here is a great deal on the Vortech air to air kit for 4895.00 with FREE Shipping, this is one of the best kits out there, the car will make a safe 440 + RWHP. We use a huge speerco after cooler. we mimize the 90 degree bends req in other kits, this limits boost as well as reduces the eficiency of the after cooler. we use Cobra 39 lb injectors and we now use the new GT fuel pump, this kit comes complete with SCT Xcal 2.

question. whats the difference between the air to air s/c and the air to water s/c other than the obvious? i know theres a price diff so im guessing the air to water is a little better?

I am really sold on the air to air because it is so easy to install, the water to air is also a very good kit its more expensive and more labor intensive, and the real advantage is a lower IAT at slower speeds.
 
Is the head unit an S or T trim? I like this package idea alot better than the air/water. Alot less work involved!!!

why would you NOT want an intercooler?
does this unit need to attatch to the trans. for any reason?
is there a tune required with the install: if so, is it a 1 time thing?
how much more for an intercooler?
is this a special price?
what is the usual price?

I am confused are you asking if the SC is attached to the transmission???

NOPE, it goes on the motor, and you want a after cooler either air to air or water to air
 
Dennis expect an order from me come Spring time for the air to air kit. Just got a raise at work and I'm in for this kit.

OF course the unit is on the motor.........is there any lines to the trans for colling or lubrication?
I've read on this board that there are some SC units that somehowe attatch to the trans ???????

Can you find those posts? I'm not aware of ANY S/C that attaches to the transmission or trans cooler lines for any reason. The Vortech centrifugal blower does need an oil line plumbed to it, along with a return line to the oil pan, but there's no connection to the transmission.
