MAV2 OBD II Protocol????

Any of you guys know what the "Protocol" is for my '04 ECU????:confused:

I bought a Bluetooth Gismo that plugs into the OBD II port but it does not communicate with my ECU!!!:mad2::argue:

It works perfect in my RAM 1500 and our '06 300C.....go figger!!:rolleyes:

I bought this one and it works fine. I use the App DashCommand and bought the extra Parameters for $9.99.

I have the ITSX from SCT and when I use the software on the laptop to connect to the device and read from the car, the livelink uses the "RZASA" strategy in scp mode.

The itsx device, when connected to Bluetooth via smartphone, it reports "rzasa2" I believe.

I would like to know how well that device works, and if you have a part number for it.

Sorry, I will clarify.

I have an 04 MM...

I have the iTSX device, which is kinda similar to that device in the pictures, but it is made by SCT. It is a datalogger/programmer which works with the SCT iTSX smartphone application via bluethooth. It can load tunes and modify the custom tunes user configurable parameters much like an SCT XCAL3. It can also datalog into a csv format and/or show gauges for selected parameters in the smartphone app.


The iTSX can also be used as a passthrough datalogger with a usb cable from the device to a laptop computer running the livelink datalogging software from SCT.

When using the livelink SW on a laptop, there is an option to let the livelink talk to the cars PCM through the iTSX device and automatically find the appropriate communications protocol and the PCM strategy. The communications protocol and the strategy it finds in my car is the "scp" protocol and the "RZASA" strategy.

However if you open the iTSX application on the smartphone, there is an option to read the tunes parameters as well. The strategy shown in the smartphone application actually says "RZASA2" or maybe "RZASA2b" I can't remember exactly. I can confirm in the next day or so when I get my car back from the shop.

I mention both strategy codes because I'm not sure if there is really a difference between RZASA and RZASAxx.

I then meant to more clearly ask for a report on how well the device in the picture works, and if there is a part number or source available for it; because I might like to get one of those for another vehicle.

I am not sure if the device comes with preloaded tunes for a Marauder; but it has preloaded tunes for "most popular cars."

If you have a custom tune from an SCT dealer/tuner, then preloaded tunes are disabled.

I got mine from Reinhart in FL a good while back with a custom tune, so I do not know what options are available when not using a custom tune.

If you have a custom tune from an SCT tuner, it can be loaded/swapped/tweaked with the itsx device using your smartphone (android or apple device) with the iTSX app.

If your tuner left options open in the tune for you to tweak; like idle RPM, timing, rev limit, AFR, WOT shift points, etc... You can tweak them with this device, just like an XCAL3 or other SCT device.

I can make minor changes with my tuner......have Custom SCT Blower Tune on Dyno.......need to soften low speed shifts some!!:argue:

Ordered another interface from Amazon.....says it works for all FORDS.....we'll see??:confused:
