Greek God, I don't know where you get your info. We have a MM owner who is Chief Instuctor for the Fort Worth Police Dept. I have personally seen my Marauder beat the CVPI in full chase senarios numerous times. the handling and power make a major difference in real chase situations. Nobody has been able to catch the Marauder. By ther way, a Marauder will give the new Charger PI a real run for the money in a full chase --better handling gives the MM an edge. If you don't have accurate info, don't post it in large print, Maury.
PS I'm 78 years old and I'll take you on in a CVPI anytime you want.
Here is a pdf of the Michigan State Police testing (I hope it posts):

The difference between the CVPI and the Hemi on the 2 mile Gratten Road course was less than 4 seconds (in 2 miles). To me, 4 seconds in 2 miles isn't much difference. But, in a 500 mile NASCAR event, it would be almost 17 minutes.
I usually drive scared, and would never even consider taking on a 78 year old man.
Kinda like when I was working around 60 year old Jimmy Rowan, a crazy ex-Golden Gloves boxer. It was St. Patricks day, and I told some co-workers I was going to "go to an Irish bar and kick some Irish a$$ tonight".
Well, Jimmy was of Irish extraction, about 35 years my senior, and everyone knew he had a short fuse. So, just to have some fun, word got back to Jimmy what I had said, and he came looking for me.
He was all red-faced and madder than hell. He wanted to fight me on the spot, with bare knuckles. He really would have done it, and we both would have been fired.
There was no way I could have won a fight with him. If I beat-up an old man, it would make me look bad. If he won, it would make me look bad. A man has to know his limits.
The MSP report evaluates handling, power, comfort, and many other factors.
