For Sale MM daily driver

Unfortunately it's time for me to part with the 2004 MM daily driver. I need something a bit easier to drive and park in the cramped downtown area, and can't quite afford a second car. To be honest, it'd also help a lot with a downpayment on a house, and I'll need it with the ridiculous Seattle market here. I've done quite a bit of maintenance to keep her on the road. Putting all the info on Craigslist to make it easy to update, but of special note is:
-New GT racing timing chain (stupid plastic ones wore out)
-Replaced rear end from 2008 CVPI with gas tank puncture guard
-31-spline axles and 373s
-Winter & Summer wheels/tires
-Diablo tunes tested on the Dyno

All info here: http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/2058922116.html

I know I'll get flak for selling, but figured you guys might actually appreciate what it's worth and know someone that's looking for a good one for cheap.

I'm really trying just to get the KBB value out of it, especially with the high-priced maintenance that's been done.

Thanks.

wow that is a hell of a steal, good luck with the sale man, im sure you will have no problem getting rid of it for this price. I wish i would have found a steal like this before i got mine. Hate to see u selling it but u gotta do what u gotta do.

Not trying to bust your balls but it is 1 of 11,052 not 1236. Just trying to help with the integrity of the sale. :)

I think he meant 1 of 1,236 black 2004 Mercury Marauder. But that number isn't correct either.

According to FORD Performance Group (FPG), there were 1,237 black '04 MMs made (1,081 with Dark Charcoal interior and 156 with Light Flint interior. 1,000 had heated seats and 237 did not.

Must not be fore sale anymore, i got no response and his CL ad does not show up upon search in Seattle area craiglist. his link is still good last time i clicked however.

still for sale

Hey Guys, sorry for the delay. This weather has been kicking my butt this week. Had some big projects due, so wasn't allowed to stay home... at least I only had a two hour drive home during the storm monday night; a coworker of mine was stuck in his car for 9 hours.

I'm not sure what the deal is with Craigslist; I posted it and then it disappeared. I reposted, but it never comes up in search results. Either way, the link should still be working.

v8killer, I'll send you a PM right away. I'll be in Kent most of today, but the girlfriend lives in Factoria so I'm near bellevue all the time. Will meet you anytime as long as weather holds up. Unfortunately, I put the winter wheel set on yesterday so you'll get the comfy/safe test drive. Probably wouldn't have wanted to corner too hard for the rest of this year anyway :D

As far as the 1/1236 claim, I got the number from an "MMC Prod" tool on the mercurymarauder.net site. See the attached pic to this thread and on my website. Not trying to misrepresent, just using the best info I had :). Updated my posting just the same to be more correct.

Thanks all, let me know if you have more questions.

Curious - looks like the car was from Michigan originally. Any issues with rust on the underside or salt issues from it bring from that area of the US?

Also - lots of work done to it - was it mostly for performance - or has it been just iffy with stuff going out on it?

Looks nice.

I didn't have any rust issues at all; underside was pretty clean. Most of the work was because repairs were necessary and figured I could make it better at the time.

Doesn't matter now, because as of yesterday.... it's SOLD! New owner was in town on business and is on his way back to Minneapolis MN.

Thanks everyone for your help and interest. I'm already a little sad it's gone but it had to be done. Safe driving everyone and maybe in time I will be able to return as a Marauder owner.

No need to apologize.
You were basically correct and other newbies should be more carefull before they try to spew information they have most recently learned in the first place.;)

Good luck with the sale.

I miss that region. I was stationed in Tacoma for some time in the 80's.
