MM's in the snow

Any good stories about MM's in the snow. Mine always stayed in the garage when it snowed. But I had a AWD Audi and it was great fun to drive in the snow. But there was never that much while I lived there.

Cheers,

Rod

Check with Motorhead 350 he has a "blast" in the snow with his car:up:

Not much fun with stock tires and no weight in the trunk! I don't prepare for winter because we usually don't have much if any. This year we got drilled. 75 inches of snow so far and another month or so of snow possible.

Mine was a daily driver for 4 winters in the upstate NY lake effect snow belt. I live in the hills southeast of Syracuse where we get twice the snow that Syracuse receives. They claim the title of snowiest city in the USA. Ha! They don't know what snow is... I had four snow shoes on with studded rears. I live on a steep hill that you turn off STR 26 and go straight up 3/4 of the road to get to my house. I never had to leave her at the post office down around the corner on STR 26 at anytime in those 4 years. She wasn't the best in snow, but not the worst either. I never wrecked it, but did come close more than once. I took a slide for life one night with 3-4 360s on black ice and somehow kept her out of the trees that were just off the shoulders. I must have had a angel on my shoulder that night! I NEVER want to repeat that.

We usually don't have much snow here either (definately not 75 inches) so i don't prepare much either. I do keep a fifty pound bag of salt for putting in the trunk in case we do get some. Have used the same bag for the past four years with the stock tires and we do fine.

MM's in the snow. Am I taking this thread to literal???

My MM wales in the snow with snow tires and no weight added. I have out driven many wrong wheel drive cars in the snow. I can see them slipping and sliding while the MM just plows thru the snow.

drove mine in 12 inches

Hey Ron well for the first time since I owned her had surgery on thurs could not avoid it. As with most things slow and easy did it drove to hospital wife drove home, no issues. We both spent time in USAF in Montanna amongst other places so past expierance helped a lot.

So, because I'm a doorknob, I took the Marauder out in the snow to do laundry in the first snow we have the end of January. We don't have the snow tires for it, not special enough, we have the Nittos.
Let me tell you, coming off any stop lights, there is nothing like fish-tailing and sliding sideways while trying to get from 0 to 20mph. Then we have a light at the bottom of a big hill right before getting into Waldorf. Hahah yeah... the was red. Had to stop. Light turned green, and I started spinning. Spun the tires and fish-tailed allllllll the way up the hill at I swear negative 5mph. I did not thing I was gonna make it.
End of story... it took me 1 hour to go 7 miles with the bs not made for snowy weather tires. :argue: My stubborn fault.

i did better in my marauder and my 87 mercury than i did in the awd highlander we have as a rental since our escalade is in the shop.

14 inch drift in back yard

Rod, great to hear from you--no, I didn't get out of the driveway and the MM was in the heated garage. My garage is 7 feet above street level, 140 feet long , curves and has rough stone walls on each side--with 10-12 inches of wet snow--didn't even try. Hope all is well in Calif. Keep in touch--we miss you folks, Maury
