Mud flaps

I need front and rear mud flaps. Merc dealer sez flaps are available for the Grand Marquis but there is a note in the parts book that they are not for the Marauder. Can anyone help?

I wouldn't mind having them just on the rear, my wider tires throw stuff up even farther on the quarter panels lol.

Try a Ford dealer for rear guards for a CV, The sides of the rear bumper are the same as a CV not a MGM.

Rear mud flaps (Crown Victoria) F8AZ-16A550-CA are the correct fit. I don't have the front number handy, but the Cr. Vic fits.
My car came with the molded flaps on the front, flat on the rear, I changed them out, they look O.K.

Bob,
I'll give you the long & short of it -- get the Merc/Ford fits all Panther bodies for the FRONTS; as for the Ford Crown Vic REARS for the rear of the MM. I have installed them on BOTH of ours. Do yourself a BIG favor and get the CLEAR XPEL 3M (sp??) plastic (8 mm I think) to go in the rear inside bumper cover that wraps around into the wheel well.
If you drive your car all year long in the winter slop, these are a MUST HAVE item, JMHO.

Yeah but my mud flaps go to 11. Seriously though the Crown Vic flaps don't fit the contour perfectly on the rear cover but they are very close. I saw some molded flaps at autozone that had a flexible portion that looked like they would fit well. For me the cv one's are fine.

They really help keep the rock chips down if you're forced to go down rock roads. I have a pair I put on my work car (Crown Vic, Not MM)......it's constantly on rock roads. really helps out.

mud flaps

my front molded mud flaps are from the mercury grand marquis part #f8az16a550ba... and the rears are from the ford crown vic part# f8az16a550ca they fit very well and they work..

Daddy can we put Mud Flaps on the car too.....

Mud Flaps......Mud Flaps....Oh it must be the Pizza Delivery man!

Excellent song!
Had to google the lyrics....Spinal Tap...I am gonna have to get that CD now....

IMHO i'd put them on the front only. My OE front"splash guards" protect the lower sheet metal from the small stuff kicked up by the wider tires. Not much to protect in the back except the plastic bumper facia. they don't look goofy either.

John F. Russo reply:
I'm going around the entire lower side of my newly painted car with the 10 mil plastic film. Sand has 'sand-blasted the side of my car especially behind the front tires

You won't see this condition unless you shine another car's lights at night against your own car at those places. Then it really shows how bad it is.

It's costing me $1,100.

Im getting some myself! I hope I wont have to wash as often. MMs are rare and special- I like keeping mine as clean as possible.

If you live in NYC, mud flaps, im guessing, arent an issue. If you live in northern Michigan, they're a must.
