Musclemerc Is Back And He's Bringing New Power With Him

CATS and not the purring kind.

Switch'em out or get rid of them. I know you remember my set up. heck your the one who did it. I know you hate the smell but HF CATS might be your answer if you can't take the CATLESS stink.

I agree. Mine was only limited to the damn clutch that wouldn’t hold past 5,700 RPM and the Procharger was no where near its efficiency yet and put down 704 on 2 1/2” S.W.

She was purring and begging for another 150-200 more and all systems were ready to support it.

Something definitely isn’t flowing well on yours. But I see absolutely no reason why 2 1/2” wouldn’t provide more than enough with room to grow.

Sounds like your fuel is up to par!

Yep fuel is not an issue here. When I put this build on paper I didnt plan for any fuel upgrades and it appears I was correct. Goes to show build it right the first time and you'll never touch it again.

What are you using for your fuel set up?

I built it some years ago. I decided to stay returnless

Dual GT Supercar pumps
Dual in tank 10awg wiring
Dual FPDM's **not modified**
Dual (stock) fuel lines
Dual filters
-10 Y block @ the rails
Wiring upgrade w/3 power on relays
BAP set @ -0- (wired w/4lbs hobbs switch)

Enough fuel for 700plus HP

I have to wonder if the table for that slot MAF is right in the tune. Travis, what’s the part number on the MAF?

I don't know but I can run it past Jeff.

It's a stock GT500 MAF from a 2010

I dropped my mid pipe last night the inside is coated with raw fuel.

What size intake tube do you have? I used SCT PRP to load a base marauder tune, load the GT500 slot MAF, load the GT500 127mm tube on top (it's in the SCT PRP) then take everything that's changed and save to a file I can load into the actual Marauder tune I build.

I bet it’s the MAF transfer function table. Or an injector stuck open. I’ll bet my ether soaked rag on it.

Wouldn't a stuck open injector also wash out that cylinder? It would also bleed fuel into that cylinder until the pressure in your fuel system goes down. I had a stuck open injector and it washed that cylinder out, thus dropping the compression in that cylinder. it even ran past my rings and I had fuel in my oil.

I never lost rail pressure SGT

We kept a mechanical gauge on the Schrader valve and had a consistent 55psi throughout the pulls.

I'll pull the dip stick and give it the smell test. Good point!

Did you have an AFR gauge on both headers, one for the PCM and one you can look at? Did they both say the same thing? If so, you think you have 60lb injectors but you probably have 80's or something else...

Nah, we had my pod mounted A/F in the DS bung and the dyno shops hand held mounted in the Prochamber (it read both banks).

My Autometer gauge can't read anything under 10:1. The hand held (Innovate) read 9:1 (it can read as low as 7:1).

That's what Jeff was thinking. When I get home I'll Google the part number and see what pops up.

Since I got you I have to say your new setup is impressive. I thought the blower was over the top, but you outdid yourself this time.

It's only 2011+ that went from 0-5v analog to variable frequency digital. It wouldn't even run if one of those were in there.

Yeah...Because 2011 they go from analog to digital mass air meters. What diameter is the GT500 mass air housing?
