MV 2016 Host Hotel

The hotel was a 3. Poop running down the side of the stool when we checked in. The fridge had a huge frost problem, @ 3 inches. Friday morning I awakened to a HUGE spider in my bed. I must have killed it in my sleep. The security we needed was not in the parking lot, it should have been inside the place. Had I brought some A-1 sauce, I would have BBQ'ed those unruly kids. All in all it was an average experience. It did, however seem like a 4 star hotel compared to the one in Michigan for that Marauderville.

Yep, they replaced it. Oh, and the inside of the fridge looked like someone butchered an animal in it:depress:

#1 ^^^^^^ ah, the memories of that Michigan hotel -- UGH!!!

Our room was great until Saturday night when the two rooms next to us had a multi-family group. Counted 12-14 people occupying those two rooms and noise finally stopped at 2am Sunday morning.
And I did not see where the management did anything to handle the young brats running rampant throughout the entire hotel.

Early invitation for ya'll to come to Carlisle next June. The Best Western has really stepped it up over the past couple years and most have been VERY happy.

I can't believe that a Hilton Hotel would close the main lobby at mid-night. Is it a mid-west thing? In the NY area, parties begin at mid-night!

That's funny. I still haven't received my survey and I have been a Hilton Honors member for years.

Just got me survey email today.

Don't even know if I'm a HHM or not. Don't remember signing up to be one when reserving.

Is HHM same for Hampton Inn? I did for them for Louisville recurring at same place.

I got the hairy eyeball Saturday night when I went up to go to bed because I asked the manager to see in writing the policy that the common areas close at midnight. The only thing she had was a list that stated "quiet time" begins at 11pm. Nowhere did it say that we could not occupy the area. I told her that we are paying guests and that our "quiet time" is 8am! Voula, Paul Hovart, Derek and I all rode the elevator up and the manager watched me the whole time...so I stopped to look at her a while.

I have stayed at many Hilton properties. The lobby does not close!

She was a straight up biotch. I didn't have a problem with the hotel or the fact that the hotel management (aside from the parents) let the little rugrats run rampant until this incident. There are ways to diffuse and handle a situation and she did neither. The fact that she hawked us as we went back up to our rooms like she was Miss Hannigan or something was unnecessary. :censor:

The air conditioning in our room did not work the first day and night. They got it fixed while we were gone the second day. It was a nice room other wise.

Bad children come from bad parents!
Amen to that, brother. It gets worse every generation. My parents would have been livid had my sister and I behaved the way those kids did.

The only other thing I didn't like was the whole 8-floor atrium concept. It just acts like a giant echo chamber and lets every little sound reverberate badly. Thankfully there was a separate door into the BR I could close to keep it fairly quiet.

Re hotel: On a positive note, I realized I left a small case in our room when we checked out Sunday and didn't notice until we were somewhere in PA. I called the hotel and spoke with Andre at the front desk. He located my item and called right back stating he would FedEx it out Monday. It arrived as promised yesterday. I really appreciated that.
