Didn't anyone else show up for the show?

Out of 11 possible awards there were 3 people that won 8 awards......

How did Bluerauder, FastMerc & N40GL sneak in there?

Well...

"Few men have virtue to withstand the highest bidder." - George Washington

or to put it another way...

"Every man has his price."- Sir Robert Walpole :D

Actually, Embassy nailed it, tough-azz judging, very fair, but VERY thorough. The guys that won really were best in their categories.

Twenty three cars were judged. This had to have been the longest review of cars EVER! I took notes while the four judges looked at EVERYTHING! I was on my feet for 3 hours!!

Dave Adney was the fourth judge. He used to work for Kenny Brown, though not during the Marauder days, but was very involved in the Crown Vic project. Dave had car show judging experience too. A wealth of knowledge between the four of them.

With Mac's help, I hope to write up a summary of all the things they looked at and their attention to detail. It's all about the details. It should be a great check list for prepping your car for a car show.

Thanks, Charlie, for posting this thread. I'm still doing lots of wrap-up stuff so I appreciate the help!

If I had realized this was going to be a seriously Serious car show I would never have entered! LOL!! I've seen brain surgery that took less time than the judging. :D They were thorough for sure! Imagine my horror and embarrassment when I glanced over during the hog roast and saw 5-6 people huddled around my much beloved, but hardly show quality daily driver........and they stayed there for 20 minutes!! Yikes! My point is that I don't think there could have been more intense scrutiny of the cars!

Charlie, you are too modest to flaunt it, but you did take a well deserved 1st Place for best display. Congratulations to you and all the trophy winners!!

IT was a no win situation any way you slice it. There were a lot of very clean Marauders at the Hog Roast. As I looked over the cars I knew it was going to be hard to call one car better than another unless you judge them with a lot of discipline. And I am glad I didn't have to judge any ones Marauders.
My favorite award was having Steve Babcock sign my fuse cover plate!!!! Thanks to Ms. Denmark for use of the silver sharpie. That was all the award I needed
Thank You MM.NET

For those of you who weren't there Steve was looking over Van WinkleDooms car and he said totally deadpan "If you were to lessen the chrome you might be able to see the lites on the tree and get a better reaction time". Priceless

There was a picture taken of all the judges & site owners taken in front of my car at the end of the car show.
Will someone please post that pic up.

Where is my picture of Doomie picking up my TROPHY!:D
Here it is, Pops/John. It is in the Gallery under "Marauderville 7 Pics". Sherm wasn't there to accept his trophy because he was back over at Muncie with Chris for the Thunderbird races. DOOM accepted your trophy \/\/\/\/\/. Other drag race winners included 03mmmonroe/Russ and Ken/Ken. Looks really close and you can see a little :o on DOOM's face. ;) Sorry, but I can't remember the exact Drag Race classes (Two modified and Two stock, I think).
