My new Marauder! With 18 Qrts of oil in it!?!

^^^It's true^^^, mine is one of the slowest out there, did a bunch of mods, still in the 16's in the quarter mile. I'm going to go to a Tecumseh engine I think..... for more power and torque. :D

They run in the 15s from factory...

Before the added weight of hopes and dreams! Blowers, heat exchangers, nitrous tanks, ECT.

Funniest thing is the addition of heavy big brakes..

That's gotta be it, I should remove some of those mods, they didn't help me anyhow, glad Monday is trash day, I think I'll start with the twin screw, that thing weighs a bunch...

Don't shop walmart, and you don't do so well when sarcasm is directed at you but you like to dish it out. Act like an a$$, be treated like an a$$
I love sarcasm haha keep dishing it out no hard feelings here I know you're just joking :)

hope floats, so it's a light weight mod
dreams with a DTR are wet, so fluids are heavy.
Add a rainbow and a unicorn, yeah - that will knock a second off your stock E.T.

keep us posted. I think you are doing a good job of saving the victim.
Any idea if/how long it was run with the over full oil?

The oil was pretty dirty. I know it was the guys daily driver until like 4 weeks ago. And the chain chewed up a lot of aluminum so my guess ot was driven like this for a while

I agree, you are lucky the oil did not get on top of pistons and lock it up

After some power washing and clean up. I painted the valve covers black and color matched the coil covers.

Every marauder i see has black valve covers and mine were bare aluminum. Any ideas why?

That paint will flake off in no time.
It needs special etching primer, auto paint or powdercoating

When i painted them i used an etching primer but there were manufacturing stickers still on the covers when i took them off and literally no sign of any sort of original paint.

Yup, mine are raw aluminum on my 2004. They are starting to look cruddy from the light corrosion that is on them. I might try to see if a spray on aluminum brightener will clean them up.
