looks good, but why not just paint or powder coat? also how did you apply it?

Haha well coz honestly it was super easy to apply & super cheap for the materials. And as gots mentioned above I can peel it off at any time. The way I look at it is this is just a trial run. See if I like dark wheels or if after a couple months I decide that the chrome wheels really do make the marauder stand out. Which at that point I havent lost anything by painting or powder coating the wheels.

Plus if I do like the dark setup I do have a set of Focal F01 wheels that I've been eyeing for a long time so this would help me feel good about making a large purchase

dosent that stuff dry like super rubbery?

It all depends on how you apply it and how thick you apply it. If you dip an item it puts a very thick coating that is soft and rubbery. If you spray it in very thin coats and don't put more than 3 or 4 on it is not that rubbery, it is very similar to some of the rubber coated trim put on some cars from the factory.

looks good! I was thinking about doing the chrome around the windows. Have a can in the garage.. might have to give it a shot (no pun intended).

Thanks for the comments everyone! Yeah I was really pleased with the way they turned out! Like I said, a very easy and very affordable mod. And I don't feel like I've drastically altered my appearance permanently, because I can peel off at any time and go back to stock!

And if you look closely, I didn't plasti-dip the inside of my wheel. I only did the outside rim and the spokes. It's not a big difference until you're right up close. I think if i were to do this again, I would do the entire wheel, but at this point, this was simply a "trial run"
