I have a friend who insists that she is orally skilled enough to change a man's political orientation.

Those who talk the talk rarely walk the walk.

Even if she is the best of the best that you find yourself pulling the bed sheets out of your a-- when shes done, its still not worth having someone dictate what you can or cant do with your own money.

Wth?

I bought a brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado AWD for my fiance in November... She stole my dog and ran off to PA somewhere the following month. The Blazer wasn't nice enough for her "first car"... I should've seen it coming...:depress:

Ok, the Jeep-you have no complaint, but the DOG? That should be a Federal offense! Across state lines should get the FBI involved-kidnapping/pandering.

There are more women then men in the US. If you don't like the one you have, find another. Life's too short.

My wife is the most wonderful woman I have ever met. She is a creature of grace and beauty. I dwelt in darkness before she brought her light into my life. I would surely be wallowing in my own filth if she hadn't saved me.

:depress: she reads the posts on this board.

Your killing me Dan.

I know you speak the truth, Dan, having recalled your adoption of that wonderful child. God bless you both. :)

Hmmm...

I know... I was told that it's a civil matter and could take many many months... Not to mention money. Happy F'in Valentines Day huh?

I know this is an old post ... but ...

But, anyone ever find out what happened to this guy? Is he chained up in the basement?

After quickly reviewing all the advice you folks gave him, I think I have a different slant that could have helped him. It's an angle no one else seemed to have thought of.

Okay, first of all, he's already taken holy vows to this woman, in front of God and everyone. So, I don't think kicking her to the curb is an option. And, clearly, by his own admission, she is in charge. So, the key is to make her want the Marauder.

Pitch it as the ultimate dominatrix-mobile. A Marauder (well, at least a black one) exudes power and sexiness. Make her think how powerful she'll feel driving it. Plant subtle seeds in her mind that will eventuate in her "commanding" you to pay for mods to the car.

Of course, he'll be left driving the 94 Grand Marquis. I didn't say my plan was perfect.

As a married man with two beautiful kids. Let me give you some advice. If you are a car enthusiast and she is not, you need to settle that issue in your favor very early on or abandon ship. The car hobby is expensive and requires a partner who understands your enthusiasm. She needs to understand that you like a different type of car than the kind that just gets you from point A to point B. She also needs to understand that part of the car hobby involves aftermarket parts which are very expensive. This is part of who you are as a person. If she doesn't accept this ... then she isn't accepting you as a person. She will never understand when you spend $500 to pick up 8-12 hp and a tenth of a second in a quarter mile. She will never understand when you spend a day detailing parts of the car that she never sees.

I'm not telling you this to break up your marriage. I'm telling you this to keep you from building up years of resentment only to have it cost you at a later date. You only live once. There is a big difference between compromise and total self-sacrifice. Car enthusiasm is a passion that is often passed on for generations. I am convinced it is in my genes. Life is way too short to drive a Jetta.

Would not want to drive it? Are you kiddin me??

I have a weakness for young hot girls in panthers..Everytime I see one..:bows:

Might just be me though...

Give ther the 94 as a GIFT so that she can trade it
on whatever she wants and save some $$$.

Then, you'll need a second car, so go get that Marauder !!!

MAKE SURE YOU WIFE UNDERSTANDS THAT SHE'LL BE SAFEST
IN A FULL SIZE CAR OR CROSSOVER, THAN AN IMPORT OR SUV.

When my wife rides in the back of our Marauder,
she feels like ske is one of the Soprano's...
