Neighborhood

Only two...

Here on base there are two for sure...mines and Merc6...there are a few CAMer's near by though. And Charlie, you cannot forget those darned BMW's. They are freaking everywhere, with the M3 leading the pack with the numbers. When I get the exhaust in I will be hunting 3's, win or lose...I am going to run a few of them...on a private track of course.:coolman:

You're right William .... Now how did I forget the BMW (M3 and M4 and Boxster), Mercedes and Porsche contingent. My favorite is the Porsche Cayenne SUV. It may be fast .... but it can't outrun ugly. That's JMHO.

As far as I know there are about 7 Marauders in the city of San Antonio or its surrounding areas.....3 are members of this site....Me, Lance, and Charlie who is the newest member....he drives a DTR but has never posted. I just carded another today....a lady in a Black 03 with paint issues....

I am surprised at how many, now that I count them.

Within one mile of my address, I have met and made good friends of "TurboErnie", "Mike" and "Michael Ward". Within 10 miles, "Zack", and within 20 miles, "Chapel1". (Do I count Zack as two? he owns two Marauders...)

There are three additional Marauders within the one-mile limit I run across regularly, and two more from within 10 miles who come to our Chicken Runs (so, they read here, yes?) but don't post. I have spoken to each at least one time, about us here. They have not respond. There was also one other dude who was just plain rude, but I can't say he is from around here. I just ran across him once in a parking lot.

TurboErnie and I (now) are SB paint, "Mike Ward" and the two "run silent, run deep" Chicken Run attendees are DTR, the rest mentioned are the native black.

Guess I should include the SB of WSmylie from FL., ya never know where Bill is going to show up...

Hope I remembered everyone...

I guess I'm in that 20 mile radius too Mac. I counted 14 at the last Chicken run.

As far as in my town, there's one that I've carded and talked to, Black of course. I told him about our chicken runs and sent him an e-mail about our last one but I got no response

None...used to be a black one but I never met the owner. Haven't seen it in a long time. Other than that, it's a long line of 300Ms or Cs, Dodge Chargers, Ford Mustangs and Ford F150's and of course...GTO's.

*TR runs to the front window, checks outside and returns to the "puter*

There's two in my neighborhood. :)

Specifically neighborhood?
2.

A few miles to the west Mike and Mark, whom I haven't heard from all summer. (I hope all is well).

And a fellow a few country blocks that I have never met, (he never showed at EAM-3). Ironically Jessica has seen him several times, and once carded and spoke with him.

Within 30 miles:
9.

In my neighborhood there are 3 Marauders. An older lady who drives a black with a spoiler. I approached her at a gas station about a month or so before I got mine. I was driving my 99 CV and I asked her if she wanted to sell it. She laughed and said "not this car" and laughed some more. Then drove off. I felt like she thought I was probably just some young kid who had no idea how her mighty marauder compared to my little cv. When I got mine I was sure to leave some nice marks a few houses down from her, hopefully she sees my beast prowling the streets now and remembers that once "clueless kid". Now mine is the mightiest marauder with #119 whining under the hood.

The other Marauder is a silver that a middle aged guy owns. He has waved at me a few times. Once I saw him pulling up to a pizza restaurant nearby and I hurried in and pulled next to him. As he was getting out I hopped out to hopefully meet a new marauder pal but he just looked at me and walked off. Keep in mind we were the only two cars on this side of the lot. Coincidence that another MM just pulled up for pizza...I think not. :mad2: Some people just either arent friendly or dont really realize what they are driving.

The only other Marauder related experience that Ive had in my neighborhood involved a friend of mine. His fathers friend owned a MM. I dont see it anymore but I always admired his car anytime I saw it at my friends house. My mother even stopped him one day and asked him to sell it to her son. Anyways he stopped by when I was cleaning it one day and congratulated me on the choice that I made and told me I had one hell of a car for someone my age. :D

at least a dozen!

At least Five at the Ford Plant, where I work. Another less than a mile from home. None of them on this board.

Ken

None in my neighborhood. See one on the road maybe once every six or eight months. Otherwise I only see them at MM get-togethers.

Only 1 other in my small town, a DTR that belongs to my mom! :D She really likes her car and I must say alot of the teenagers get a kick out of her when she makes the tires talk (as she says).:) There are 3 others in my county for a total of 5, that I know of.

err, none near me.. but i've seen 2 around the same areas in the last year that i've been in Austin.

good in a way, but kinda sux too =(

SSM has 91 members at my last look, several in the greater Tampa Bay area but except for infrequent meets (we don't seem to be able to get regular meets going for some reason I don't understand) I rarely see a MM. Rumor has it that someone in Lakeland (10 miles) has 2 and I sent a card home with the Ford Tech that lives next door but never heard anything. I recently carded a pretty black at Smokey Bones in Lakeland but again no response.
every where I go locally my car is an attraction as MM just aren't seen very often. The Highway Patrol has some and I have seen a DTR involved in traffic control south on I75 a little and I saw a black in bound at D. Donuts in Brandon as I was headed out. Other than that Zip in 2 years. I recently drove Fl to Maine and back, saw one a black in the White Mountains of NH. We is rare AND elusive. :D Dennis

:( I have been in Rochester for a little over three months and only saw one other MM and he was passing through. Before I moved here from Texas I lived in a town with a population of 60K and there were 4 MM's in that one town. Three blacks (including mine) and one DTR.

Safety Harbor is a small community adjacent to Clearwater. There is one other Black MM just down the road from me. I pulled in his driveway one day to meet him, and we chatted for a while. I know he reads the board, but I don't know if he posts. He was a nice guy, and his MM was totally stock. Infrequently, I see others around the Tampa bay area. I saw Smokie's at Pass-a-Grille beach twice, and I've seen 1 DTR, 1 SB, 1 Blue and that's about it. I've lived here 1 year.

rhode island is so small, it could be categorized as a neighborhood!
i only know of 4 in ri... myself, paul casey, wczepl (bill) and a non member . i heard there was a twenty something guy that used to work on the fishing boats out of quonset point that had a black one that he beat on relentlessly.. maybe paul or bill know of more and will chime in but as far as i know thats it...3 black and 1 dtr .i m guessing there are more but i havent seen them...

In this particular area of Georgia, I've got the only one with Georgia plates. I've seen a SB driven by a (ahem) more mature lady, but it had Tennessee plates (Hamilton County).

I've been to the local cruise ins, and have yet to see another MM at one of them. I've only seen the SB referenced above twice, no other DTR, no black, no blue.

I'll be at another show this weekend (as a judge), so we'll see if any show up from the Rome area.

:D
