Good morning guys. Im Palmetto. I have been lurking here for a few days. Im in Rock Hill, SC. Getting married in June and im sure a family with in the next 2 or so years. I have a 97 reg cab dually F-350 that i just can bring myself to selling. Between that and my 2 suzuki samurais i started looking for something a little more family friendly. I looked for a while for a 80's landcruiser but i just cant justify to myself spending 8-12k on a 30 year old toyota. With me being 6"5' I have decided to look for a Marauder. hoping to find one in the next year or so. Wanted to join up here so i can get a little better understanding on the cars and network a bit to find one.

Welcome! I am sure you will find quite a bit of useful information on this site. You might still find a rare one with low mileage but it will cost you a bit more. Good luck.

You have plenty in your sig i see why dont you just sell me one. Hell maybe even give me one haha

Welcome. I think for a family, you can't go wrong with an SUV or a crew cab truck. That regular cab truck will be a real limitation once you have a wife, and a car seat, (or 2) and a dog. If you want a Marauder you can get what is about the next best thing as far as usable space, a big 4 door car. These things, however, are considerably more comfy, and quicker than the average truck or SUV.

For me it's like the old days when I was a kid and my dad took us all on vacation in his Electra 225, towing the camper, only my Marauder is more comfy, quicker, and handles better. The American, full frame, 4 door, rear wheel drive car died with the Panther platform... and the Marauder (IMHO) was the best of the breed.

Trying to picture a 6'5" guy wheeling a little Sami.

It has taken me from April 2004, when I purchased my new DTR, until September of last year to get all four of the colors. I got them for reasonable prices because I took my time and was ready to get the next one when it became available. I doubt you would want to pay what I would be willing to sell one for. Now maybe if you adopted me you could have access to one! ROTFL!

Let me help you. I bolted the seat right to the floor for extra room. This pic was taken right after i broke the left front axle.

Im about 5 miles off the Dave Lyle exit. I would definitely be interested. A bit high on the miles however is it was well taken then it does not matter.

I will let my friend know---he can bring it to work one day and maybe you two can work out a time /place to meet--His work area is off exit 45 on I-85N-- at Harris Blvd.

He may be able to meet you closer between there and Rock Hill --say on a Saturday--I will check.
