New motor for PURPLE PANTHER

that's good power! Are you still running the DSC1?
Why 47 pulls if you dont mind me asking?
Yes, still running the D1SC - changed pulley from 3.75 to 3.40 but with the new 3 bolt belt tensioner and the adjustable A/C delete there is no slippage so boost went from 12 last year to 22.7 today.
As to 47 pulls, went up Tuesday for tuning - engne started running hot and changed thermostat and found piece of silicon in unit keeping it closed - a/f ratios were all over the board - problem was c-16 gas was destroying the O2 sensors so deleted them from the computer. continued tuning and at the end of the day found existing mass air meter could not keep up with the injectors, called mfg. (75 m away) and he made a 3.5" o.d. mass air meter to replace the 3.0 tube tues night for us. I stayed over and picked it up Wed morning and took to Dez. so tuning started all over on Wed. that's why 47 pulls -

Nice, nothing is ever easy when it comes to highly modded. You have a heck of a setup, high CR and high Boost FTW! How much timing did it ended up with on the C16?

There is some info that Dez will not part with, like his custom Bullet camshaft grinds and exact timing in his custom tune, but i think it is between 15 and 17.

success at last

After three months of testing, tweaking, tuning and changing parts, Purple Panther finally got a good run at LVD. 1.50 - 60 ft.; 6.81 1/8 mi. at 100.67; 10.74 1/4 mi.at 124.73. Would be #8 on time slip page but can't post two cars. still working to improve these numbers.

Congrats Joe. You'd be sad to know that the original Purple motor has went south and is on it's way to motor heaven.:help:

Joe's #2 Purple Panther on Dez Racing Dyno

Joe's second land missle is being tuned on the dyno @ Dez Racing. Great bunch of guys there! Lots of patience and $$$ when you get into the high power racing end of things! There's a kinks to work out, but, I witnessed pulls over 600rwhp and rwtq. Puple Panther's a beast following in Rogue Rauder's footsteps. :D A few pics cause it did happen. Enjoy!

This is NONE of my work! This is Joe's baby! (Triple Threat) The COT came with the Pro Charger. I love how much room is in there with the shroud removed and the low profile fan assembly installed.
