(New to me)04 marauder upgrades tomorrow!!!

Hi everyone, I purchased my 04 Marauder a few weeks ago and have been enjoying her. She has 128k on the odometer but is in good condition otherwise. (Previous one owner Texas car with clean car fax and extensive maintenance receipts ) I've noticed a stumble on accel, so I took it this past weekend to a shop I do some piece work for. They let me use their expensive scanner to run diag on it. Sure enough, misfires on cylinders 1 and 2 so I purchased all new coils and plugs thru our local ford dealership. Was able to get them basically at cost as my wife works at a local honda dealership.
Tomorrow I'm dropping the car off at a local exhaust shop to remove the rear cats and install 40 series flowmasters, I guess I'll install cops and plugs Wednesday morning when it's cold. I read thru multiple posts on here for replacing the COPS, and I was a master tech at Honda so I'm hoping it's as easy as it should be, (no broken connectors/ seized plugs) fingers crossed.
I do have a question though regarding the a/c, I see there are probs with the EATC causing the air not to blow through the vents due to vacuum leaks. My car seems to not blow thru the vents as hard as it should be when set to max. Is that an oring issue or something else? I did own an 05 MGM before I acquired the Mm and the ac had way more flow thru the vents,

From what I hear, flow masters on a marauder are an acquired taste, meaning you may not like it. Some do. A lot prefer Magnaflow. Certain flow masters drone . Not trying to discourage , just letting you be aware. I don't like drone and took off 8 year old magnaflows and put on Borla

If you decide to go Flomaster , Go delta 50 flomaster [3 chamber] -you will remove the 40 series as prior post may have sugested . Enjoy the ride "congrats"..
 
I guess I'm the minority being that I like the constant rumble of exhaust, I have to deal with basically total deafness in my left ear due to some rare condition called sudden hearing loss. Keep in mind I'm only 32 and it happened less than two years ago. That said when I'm driving, the fact the low frequencies in the car reach both ears and help me feel balanced I'm willing to try them out. First come to worst i can change them out, anyone happen to know the solution to my ac issue? That's more my problem right now

32v marauder motor doesn't really rumble. They don't have that old school deep exhaust note. Not sure on your AC issue, o rings or blend door?
 
I guess the term rumble is a bit misleading, I meant hearing the exhaust notes while cruising around, again I appreciate all the advise. It's not the blend door, as that affects the "coolness" coming out the vents, it's more of a lack of full blast I'm expecting. I'm sure it's a vacuum issue none the less, I'll figure it out one way or another.

Pull down Your glove box and see if there's anything stuck behind there...like napkins or papers, etc....

A once popular technique to reduce exhaust drone is to extend the tail pipes by a few inches.
 
The AC air volume issue has not been addressed per se, IIRC. Only when the fan control module fails completely has the part been replaced.

I'm having the same issue but my Fan Control Module was replaced many years ago. However, I don't remember if the air volume decreased or not. Old Timers syndrome.
 
The EATC control module o-ring issue starts presenting itself when you accelerate the air flow switches to defrost and when you start cruising again it switches back. When it is running on AC is it just coming out the vents or is it coming out the ac vents, defrost, or heater vents too. If so it could very well need the orings in the EATC changed. Other wise it may be your blower motor just is not blowing at its highest speed. Hope this helps.

NOt true. I've had flowmasters on mine with rear cat delete and it sounds like a stock Marauder...only louder, th eway it should have sounded from the factory...:)

plus it is subtle as long as the OD is on, if you drive with it off, like I do most of the time, the exhaust note is more pronounced...

Thats what I've had on mine for years Flowmaster Delta 50 series 3 chamber muffles. Nice sound very little drone. Where in south florida are you located. ?

I finally replaced the spark plugs and cops today. Still had an original plug in#1 cylinder(greenish paint on tip and not as many threads). It was a little tight taking it out. (Without stripping the threads) cleaned the map and throttle body too and she idles and drives much better!
