North Texas Marauders Meeting Information!

Mike (SID210SA) and associates are working on it.

As an excersise, I plotted a route through the hill country from NW to NE around WACO and came up with a route that's about 165 miles in length through the towns of Laguna Park, Hillsboro, Hubbard, Mexio, Groesbeck back to Waco. These are Farm roads and state highways, I hope scenic. That may be too long.

Brad do you have any suggestions?

Well im not sure of when the last time you have been to Waco but its bigger then you make it out to be. LEO's will not be a problem and as long as we are abidding by the law, we should not have any trouble. I feel that the cruize night will be the most entertaining part of the gtg. The folks at the cruize will be blown away to see that many Marauders in one spot. However, I believe the first think that needs to be addressed is what first saturday works the best for 95% of ya'll. I would hate to leave someone out but I'ed rather not put it off for too long as well. So with that said, how does July the 7th sound? Also theres not to much to look at as far as scenary goes outside of Waco. There is plenty to do within the city limits. One more thing... its Chad not brad...

Chad, it has been a long time since I've been to Waco. Do they still have those wooden hitching rails outside the stores on main street? (J/K)

Good to hear your opinion of the cruise night. 7 July is good for Patricia and me.

So the meet may look like this: all would arrive at some predetermined point at a predetermined time, prolly AM, meet and greet, proceed, in column formation, to lunch, then on to various significant points in town and wind up at the Cruise Night Activity. Which starts at 6 PM and
ends at 10 PM

Since people have to drive back we could dismiss at the cruise night? Or would a late supper be too much. Patricia and I will prolly proceed to Seguin to see family.

Chad, if you can recommend an itinerary through Waco that would be good.

Regards,

Pat

PS; Sorry guys if I sound pushy, I'm just excited to see you again, I'll shut up now.

Hey Chad...

Sounds good to me....I have no plans that weekend.

Firm up the date and time and start a new thread with all the info in the NTM forum.

Mike

hey everyone, sorry i haven't posted anything about the waco meet. i have been packing and moving and starting my new job here in Carthage texas. its a big change for me and this is the first time i have been on in almost a month. So, if July 7th is still good I will start a new post on it. But if its to late for most people perhaps we can plan it for the first saturday in august which is the 4th. please let me know soon. I would like to here for as many as I can. its 3 weeks away from the july meet. Is that enough notice for y'all?

You gave notice over a month ago...so I would say that is sufficiant....you already gave the date and place...just need to know the time.

Howdy!

Hey, I see there is not much happening in these forums lately...

I haven't been around much for the last few years, but I am back now. My poor old Marauder has 127,000 miles on the clock now and needs a good detailing. Someday I'll have the time and money to do it...

Howdy to anyone who is still active and maybe we can get together sometime soon...

Kevin

Welcome home !!!!!!!!

It is great to hear from you again---are you back in the area ? Yep, the NTMs has fallen apart---can't rub 2 MMs together for a show or anything. Am anxious to hear what you have been doing--not too much communication since MVIII . Ran into Steve and Linda Robinson (RTV04 I think) today and had breakfast with them--also Sam (Two-Hawks) and Bill and Kay (Rollin' thunder) have shown interest in a "Family reunion" in the near future--I'll try to make it happen. Phone # is still 817-296-3819. Anyone else interested in doing a reunion, post up or call---you don"t have to still own a Marauder--just be one of the "Old Gang" and, please, any newbees join in. Kevin, stay safe and can't wait to talk to you. Maury

reunion

Maury, don't forget Gina and me if you are planning a reuniuon. I still have the car, and last week got one run in at the drags. Enough to make #12 on this year's top 25.

I need a Banzai trip to Texas!

Hope you are feeling fine and doing well. Best regards. John

Great hearing from you folks. The reunion idea seems to be catching on ----see what I can arrange. It would be great to find out what has happened since the '04-'05 "glory days" of the NTM. Glad you got to stretch the Marauders legs at the track. I'll be in Iowa from Aug 29-Sept 1 for an Antique Airplane Reunion--plan to see friends I haven't seen in 30 years. Sure miss you folks lots. Looking forward to seeing you and Gina. Maury

Maury, let me know if you have a weekend for reunion in mind. I would look forward to driving the 655 miles to see ya all again. Best regards,
John & Gina

Meeting in the works

Sept and Oct are really screwed up , but I am thinking of a late Oct time. A friend of mine is just finishing moving to a larger restaurant space with unlimited parking space and meeting room--- the food is great. It is located at Grapevine Hwy and Precinct Road in Hurst--- easily accessible. If any of you " old gang" folks see this post, this is an open invitation to come---- regardless of what you are driving. It is a Special invite to all you newbies to come a d meet the gang and learn how good it can be to have an active group. Sooooooo, everyone please post if you would be interested. I have ready talked to Two Hawks ( Sam) Rollin' Thunder ( Bill and Kay) RVT04 ( Steve and Linda) and you and Gina and myself would make a quorum. I hope this works out. We can meet anytime before 2 pm any day. You folks name it. One more try ! Maury

Almost anytime after September works for me, as all the grandkids are with their parents. Late Oct or early November is good.

Patricia and I will look forward to this, really a day trip or a one nighter.

Well, here's another ex-Marauder owner who would be interested. The NTM club was the best. Wish Dan Fielding (2003MIB) was still in contact.

Goodguys All American Sunday

Anyone going to the googuys event at TMS this weekend? I have my Marauder entered for the All American Sunday. I did this in the fall and got to do the track cruise. I was the only Maruader there. Would love to meet and see some Texas Maruaders or anyone else that can make it.

Hey Maury thanks for the feedback on the following thread. http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=93561 I am pretty much game almost anything, I just got out of the Navy and moved back here to the DFW area. No more going out to sea for me, just had the LCM replaced and have a windshield replacement scheduled for Monday. The MM is a little rough, but ready to do some meets. been sprucing her up some with some fresh wax and some polish work under the hood. Can't wait to do some meets.
