As part of the DAM Tour... I was assigned to find out howw many gallons Lake mead is below normal...not full, but below normal.

Lake meed is 60 tillion, 50 Billion gallons below NORMAL.

Lake Mead is down about 127 feet since it peak fill in 2000. Maximum storage is some 31 Million acre-feet (from Lake Mead data/statistics). Current level is 14.8 Million acre-feet stored (as of 15 August 2015). So, the lake is down 16.2 Million acre-feet. When the water level is at the spillway, Lake Mead surface area is 148,508 acres.

Your 60 Trillion figure may be off by a factor of 10. Here's the math: 1 acre-foot = 325,829 gallons. (43,560 sq ft per acre * 7.48 gallons per cubic foot). 16.2 Million acre-feet * 325,829 gallons = 5.278 Trillion gallons.

Lake Mead side will look like this again if they don't get some rain soon!!:(

Carrie and I were discussing trying to set something up next spring to head out to Cali for a meet up:beer:
 
We WILL have another WEST COAST MEET!

Mebot, logizym, Jason, Dustin, and I all agree... WE WILL HAVE ANOTHER WEST COAST MEET!

I liked VEGAS! We need to plan the huge limo (like we had with the pole) for all of us to head to Fremont street, and zip line (like we did!)....
 
PS will try and add my photos, only been home 2 days since Vegas... Was in Hawaii this last week, and had Marauder withdrawals...
