Painted calipers

Has anyone painted there MM brake Calipers and if so how does it look. Can you send pics. DTR is what I am looking to see.

i cleaned my calipers well then used 4 coats of dupli color it looked good at the start but after afew months it started to look dark and marks on it.? this brand looks like it might be better they also have custom colors. http://www.g2usa.com/product/G2.html

I just bought a set of caliper covers on ebay but before I put them on I wanted to know is there anyway I could clean the whole brake area so the calipers aren't the only thing clean??

A liberal application of this, followed by scubbing with a small brush on any build up, followed by re-application, then blow off with compressed air.

That's what we did to mine, cleaned 'em up nicely.

Russ buys it by the case at Advance Auto, but any automotive parts store should carry it.

Ok now question becuase you know Im really new to this whole DIY thing... Do I need to cover anyhting before I spray it? Are there parts I don't need to spray it on??

I wouldnt spray it on anything that is painted. Just my .02.

Ok cool no paint.. What if some get on the wires that are connected to the brakes?

+1, it'll dull the paint real quick.

Shouldn't be an issue. It's not water based, and it's got a lot of volatiles in it, so it evaporates pretty quick.

They've got the shade of blue I'm looking for, but not wanting to fork over $100 for it...looking for other options.

I bought a G2 kit of black paint last summer, but could never get myself to actually paint mine; I knew I really didn't want black calipers in the back of my mind...another dumb impulse buy... :shake:
