This coming from the guy who's sig says he's swapping to 3.73's from 3.55's... THAT'S WORTH IT
And Darrin, this converter is fantastic. Unless you have one in your car, I would suggest not making ill comments about it.
P.S. - I now see what the problem was: you have a whopping 26 posts.
Yeah, that's the problem...
You have no idea who I am or what I do for a living. Nor I, you. But that doesn't matter. I only have a few posts on this board and you have more. That makes treating me like this ok?
Since you brought it up and as an FYI. If you want to question
my knowledge of them, I have at least 5 of the single plate PI converters. Not all of them I have here right now are mine, but I do/have own(ed) a couple and have had them in my own cars from time to time. I even had one here a few weeks ago that Zack himself owns. I have also had many of them in front of me completely cut apart and have had the chance to inspect their internals with my own hands and eyes many times over.
I definitely didn't make any ill comment about anything at all in this thread. If you think I did then you need to show me. If you can't do that then you need to rethink your position and think about what you should do about this (hopefully) apparent mistake.
Not saying anything at all about a PI converter here either, so try not to read anything more into what I am saying than what I have typed here please. This is strictly about me since you brought what I know about this stuff into question with the way you posted. I myself have learned a lot about how these modular engines work and what they need since the first one I bought more than a decade ago. I have more than a little experience with this stuff to say the very, very least.
Regardless, I may only have 20 some posts on this board, but I do know a thing or two about message boards. I know to quote the person that I am talking to, not assume that someone is talking to me unless they quote me or address me by name and to not step on an ad when it is placed by the person selling the thing unless it is to protect another innocent person from buying something that is clearly misrepresented. None of that happened here. On my behalf at least.
If you want to know why I was talking to Zack and what I disagreed about, it was because he said the single plate PI converter was 15lbs lighter. I showed him the difference on a scale in person with one of the PI units that I have laying around compared to one of the stock Marauder units that I have laying around. The weight difference is at the most 9lbs. They are lighter. Not a ton less, but not 15lbs for sure.
I didn't say squat other than that I disagreed on some non-specific thing that Zack said and that the converter you pointed out had a good stall for a Lightning. I didn't say what I disagreed about until now. If there was anything more then please point it out to me so that I can understand and/or apologize for any mistake I might have made here. I have no problem doing that when I am wrong.
So what happened was just that I was messing with Zack, OK? A little light hearted fun. He took it that way and that is really what matters. He had never seen them side by side put on a scale I was guessing, so I did that for him to give him some more accurate info to talk about. That is all. Nothing more, nothing less.
I was nice. I didn't call you or anyone else names or question anything about you or anyone else. I didn't even speak to you at all until right here in this post.
What I would like to ask as a courtesy, is that I would like to know what you think I did to you to deserve being treated in a way that intended to prove me as lesser due to my post count? That's what you did you know. You pointed out my post count as a slam. I don' view that as nice. You didn't bother to take the time to ask me what I was talking about or anything. You just jumped right straight to it with both feet and layed on a slam.
What's your beef bud? Why the attitude?
I don't want to argue with you and I won't. If that's what you are after then I will just drop it. It isn't worth it.
